Do we crave the feeling of anger?

Exactly! Why the h3ll is it in the philosophy area? What right thinking person would do such a thing? Ah perhaps that is the first clue! Quick Watson the game is afoot!
A psychological explanation is that people should be punished for violating expecations or social norms that calls for helpfulness. It's been called "altruistic punishment." I can see where it might be gratifying to think of oneself as altruistic. Being angry about leaders letting people down is one possible occasion for it.

I'd be interested in clues for a philosophical explanation.
