leadership

Leadership and religion? That is why I recomended the Maxwell bible. I'd bet there are plenty of stories to be found other places as well, art of war?

Tis also the other reason that I like the email reminders. It allows the concepts to just build up in your psyche and then I figure they just come out as required.

Wil, have you seen this one by Maxwell ?

Running with the giants: what Old ... - Google Books

Here is another interesting book by Maxwell:

No, I've seen neither, and I don't know which came first, all I have of his is the bible with his side notes...I read it both ways, I may be reading scripture and then I look at his leadership interpretation from it. Or I may be flipping through reading the leadership ideas and they take me back to the scripture...odds are his research lead him to produce all three books (and probably more) as they are all the same theme repackaged...(seems to me)

"The Art of War" is a very good resource that one may apply to avoiding and, in some applications, de-fusing conflicts with "The Book of Five Rings" being a guide for conflict resolution. Still much may be found concerning leadership skills in both the "Tao Te Ching" and the "I Ching." I would also recommend the "Dhammapada," twin verses section, as an insightful guide as well.

As one should see, it then becomes a matter of properly "Orient"-ing oneself.:)

Avi, I suppose reading biographies of 'leaders' in different domains would provide personal insight as well. Thought you may be interested in this site I came across on the ethics of business, creating a thinking board

NA, there are actually times when I need to review issues around business ethics and leadership (although I usually try to avoid them :D) and when I do, I will refer to this link, thanks. :)

Leadership IMO is demonstrated by those who know what they want out of life and have the confidence to go for it, even if that means they go it alone.
The pioneers are always the leaders, whether they have a bunch of followers or not.
