All the songs use it. Do you like it when they call you 'Baby', or not?

If you're not sure, then read the next line.

Hey, Baby, Baby.

Ok, now how do you feel about that? You don't have to vote, but it is a private vote so your name will not be shown in the results.

double the value : hey, dream baby, baby
hey dream, baby baby dream
hey baby, dream on!

very fashionable here for a while [well, babes]; l don't think it'll lose its appeal as it sounds quite wholesome:)

Apart from being the word for an infant, is it not also an affectionate term for a lover or "lovee" . . . I mean beloved?

Oh baby, I love you, I am crazy about you, I want to kiss you . . . :D

Sometimes it makes me a little uncomfortable . . . that someone feels that way about me. (um . . . yuk!)

I think there should be a third option for the survey: 'It depends.'

Thanks everyone for commenting and/or voting, and especially for not voting 'No'. I feel like we got a clear answer from the votes and posts put together. The result are in! 3 yes's and ZERO No votes!!!!! I'm really sorry about not having an 'It depends' option, because you deserve the most elegant survey possible! It may have worked in our favor though -- the middle-road options on previous poles have partially scuttled the results. Maybe its lucky I forgot to put a 'Maybe' option in!!! By predisposing the pole to get a 'No' without any middle ground, we have luckily gotten a clear 'Yes, Baby' answer. Think about it: ZERO 'No' votes, despite the fact that there was no option for 'Maybe'. Given no option for a middle-of-the-road answer, you chose to either vote yes or none of the above!

The 'No' turns out to be the null hypothesis that people are tired of being called 'Baby'; but the alternative hypothesis won out instead and I would not have believed the results otherwise! Even without the option to say 'It depends' you overwhelmingly voted yes and more importantly no one voted 'No'. I am surprised. Now I'm convinced that 'Hey, baby' is never going out of style.
