Hoho, my dear Scottish freund :D!!

Of course you are incorrect !!

By the way, why hasn't your dear friend, NativeAstral greeted me yet ?? :D She is another very lovely, Scottish young lady, with some deep philosophical insights. She would also be a big fan of some of our German philosophers, such as Hegel, Nietzsche und Wittgenstein. We can have a big European philosophy party. I will bring the Rauchbier !!:D
Ok LudAVIg Von Sheismeister.... where are you going with this? As for Native you are right....she outpaces me by far with her complex insights into philosophy, spirituality and, of course, fermentation. You do appear to have a fascination with Europe..... perhaps it is time to visit? Of course Kant and many of the Germanic philosophers and thinkers really have to hold their hat to their primary inspiration, the Scot, David Hume. I saw an interesting documentary recently that cites the explosion of rational thinking in Scotland as a by-product of the dour Presbytarianism of the Scottish Kirk which played a heavy emphesis on the common man to educate himself. I personally think the long winter nights and superb malt whisky's were just as important.

, Avi. He is so clever and intelligent I could not hope to discuss science and engineering anywhere near his level :D.

Hey Avi,

have you ever considered how vulgar "double-slit experiment" sounds? In all seriousness though, I like beer.

Tao,

while we're on the subject, what makes scotch whisky so much tastier than Irish whiskey?

Hello there Ludvig :D !!!

And welcome to the forum :D !!

I am so glad that you are a new poster here :D !!

I look forward to learning all about Germany and beer !!

I am so glad to see how well you are getting on with our Scottish posters :D.

They can sometimes be a little cranky :D, especially that Tao guy, :D , if he has not had enough of his Scottish whiskey :D!!

It is clearly your German wit and charm that has won the day :D:D:D ! (Und a kleiner Kolsch und Bratwurst :D:D!!)

Ok LudAVIg Von Sheismeister....

Hey Avi,
have you ever considered how vulgar "double-slit experiment" sounds?

Hohoho, my great new freunds :D, my dear new Scottish freund, Das Tao, und my great new American freund, with the German surname, Dauer.

We have been having too much fun this week, :D, and my dear great-uncle Waldo is now very unhappy with me .

My dear great-uncle Waldo says that all I do all day now is read about my fine German Lutherans and my German and Scottish philosophers :D. He says that giving me a little teaching about religion is like letting the pig out of his poke :D.

Our beer making has been reduced by 95%, this week, because I was unable to make our fine German Eisbock (22 degrees Plato) because I was too busy studying my fine German Christian books. :D

This week we have finished our harvest of our finest German hops und grains und we are going to have to roast our barley to produce our fine German malt products. :D

Great-uncle Waldo said that if I do not roast enough malt product this week that he will have to stop feeding me my fine German Bratwurst und Brauenwurst . If that should happen, my weight would fall below 200 kg. und I would be all skin und bones :D.

So my dear new freunds, with that as a way of introduction, I am going to have to take a short break in our very delightful discussions about Christianity und German philosophy :D.

But do not worry, I will be sure to make my re-appearance anytime any issues which relate to my beloved Germany arise :D:D:D !

Tao,

while we're on the subject, what makes scotch whisky so much tastier than Irish whiskey?
I think quantity of choice is a factor, there are few branded Irish whiskies to choose from. The Pocheen's (illegally stilled Irish spirits) I have tried have all ranked as highly drinkable.

Scotch whiskey....anyone can distill the exact same concoction but can't call it Scotch....wait till the chinese get involved...

Religion, anyone can distil their own crock of **** but cant call it true.... wait till the Pleidians get involved!!

LMFAO, where did that come from!? Out the blue or what...

No hard feelings? That is good to see you're not a sore loser, Nicley played sir. :D

Woher kommen Sie? In Deutschland?

Aahh, yaah, mein lieber Engel, Ich komme aus München !!:D

That is right, we Germans have no bad feelings, we drink too much beer for that :D !!

Thank you for your kind gift, Fräulein Seattlegal. However, my dear Great-uncle Waldo and myself do not drink any beverages with a Plato less than 17 degrees and 5% ABV. :D

By the way, my dear Great-uncle Waldo and I have become rather fond of the young woman, Mort, that you mentor. Mort speaks like a 15 year old girl, but seems to think like a 30 year old women (or older) :D.

Do you think Mort would be interested in coming over here, to Munich, to do a Braumeister internship with my dear Great-uncle Waldo and myself related to beermaking ? We would teach Mort how to be a Braumeister and make the finest German beers. The reason I am asking you, is that Mort seems to look to you for advice :D.

Interesting. Do you mind if I just call you Avi?

:D :D :D :D

Damn! WHY doesn't this forum have "rolling on the floor laughing" smiley like every other forum I frequent? We NEED one! He really had me going for a few minutes there!!! I knew something wasn't quite kosher with this Ludvig character, but I couldn't figure out what it was!

So it turns out that what wasn't quite kosher about him is that he *IS* kosher!!! Damn!!!

what wasn't quite kosher

Hoho, Fräulein Raksha, you mentioned kosher, we follow the German purity law of 1487 for our beers, but its still not as a good as a kosher dill pickle :D or a nice pastrami on rye mit yellow mustard !!

Ah, Herr Ludvig...Fraulein, is it??? Nobody has called me a Fraulein in a very long time, probably because I haven't been a Fraulein in more year than I even want to think about. What can I say? Flattery will get you everywhere...or ALMOST everywhere anyway.

I'm in the process of figuring out your penalty for pulling my leg like this--although I really don't mind that either, as long as you don't pull it too hard.

I think I know what it is now. I'll have a pitcher of one your dark beers, please (which one is up to your very knowledgeable discretion, of course) along with a thick pastrami sandwich on rye. And I mean rye bread with caraway seeds too--don't forget that I'm Jewish. In other words...none of your anemic German rye bread for me! Oh yes, and along with that I want a couple of big half-sour kosher dill pickles. The real thing, please...which of means cured in a BARREL! You understand that I'm not talking about those obscene canned things they sell in jars here in the States that they have the gall to label "kosher dill pickles."

Yellow mustard? Are you serious? Shame on you...you know better than that! Don't you dare put any of that stuff on my pastrami sandwich. I want Gulden's deli-style brown mustard, or whatever is the closest equivalent you've got. You probably have about 50 different variations to choose from, so again I'll leave it to your discretion.

After you're finished with all that, you can have another beer or two to console yourself for my pickiness...since I know you will anyway. :D

Auf Wiedersehen for now,
Linda aka Raksha

Hoho, Fraulein Raksah, pulling your leg ? We Germans do not pull legs, we are serious Braumeisters, :D !

Hoho, thank you very much, all my new interfaith freunds, you have welcomed me, a fine humble German, to this fine interfaith forum :D.

Now that I know all of you :)D), and I feel very much at home here, I will shortly begin my interfaith posts. Out of respect for our Christian, Muslim and Jewish freunds, I will make my posts in the B&S sub-forum, as these initials, b and s, are good abbreviations for what I do here !!:D

Halten Sie trinken Bier !!
