Favorite Prayers ?

Lord Jesus Christ, I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. You redeemed me by Your blood, and I belong to You. I thank You , Lord Jesus, for your shed blood, which cleanses me from all sin. I want to live for you. I come to You as my Deliverer.

I know confess all my sins, known and unknown. I repent of them and ask you to forgive me. I renounce them all. I forgive others as I want You to forgive me. Forgive me now and cleanse me with Your blood. I repent of any way I have given place to the enemy.

You know my special need: to obtain freedom from all things that bind me, torment me and defile me. I need freedom from every evil and unclean spirit. I claim the promise of your word, "Whoever calls upon the name of Lord Jesus Christ shall be delivered."

I call upon You know Lord Jesus. Deliver me and set me free. I renounce satan , all his works, and all of his workers. I loose myself from satan in the name of Jesus Christ. I command you, satan, you and your demons, to leave me now. All this I do in the Name, and on the authority , of Jesus Christ of Nazereth.

I thank you Lord Jesus

Amen

1. my favorite reminder of what a prayer is.

Our thoughts are prayers
and we are always praying
Our thoughts are prayers
take charge of what you're saying
Seek a higher consciousness
a state of peacefulness
And now that G!d is always there
as every thought becomes a prayer

2. Serenity Prayer

God, Grant me the serenity, To accept the things I cannot change; The courage, to change the things that I can; And the wisdom, to know the difference.

3. One that I truly appreciate

Father lead me, guide me, show me the way
I am willing to follow
Move me, shake me, mold me
Reveal in me that which needs to be revealed
Heal in me that which needs to be healed
I love you with all my heart, all my soul and all my strength
Thank you for all your love and blessings.

The "Jesus Prayer": Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.

It is based on the prayer of the publican.

Should any man...

Should any man, in this Day, arise and, with absolute detachment from all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, set his affections on Him Who is the Day Spring of God's holy Revelation, he will, verily, be empowered to subdue all created things, through the potency of one of the Names of the Lord, his God, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise. Know thou of a certainty that the Day Star of Truth hath, in this Day, shed upon the world a radiance, the like of which bygone ages have never witnessed. Let the light of His glory, O people, shine upon you, and be not of the negligent.

~ Baha'u'llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha'u'llah, p. 318

Some of my favorites:

From St. Francis of Assissi-
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace; where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood, as to understand; to be loved, as to love; for it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life. Amen.

Prayer for Peace and Justice (The Upanishads)-

Lead us from death to life,
From falsehood to truth.
Lead us from despair to hope,
From fear to truth.
Let peace fill our hearts,
Our world, our universe.
Let us dream together,
Pray together, Work together,
To build one world
Of peace and justice for all.

This is my personal modification on the Druid's Prayer-

O Divine One
Grant thy protection
And in protection, awareness
And in awareness, inspiration
And in inspiration, guidance
And in guidance, deliverance
And in deliverance, peace
And in peace, the vision of the All-Song
And in that vision, the love of the Song and all in it
And in that love, the love of You
The Divine One
And all goodness
May the blessing of the Uncreated One,
The Creative Word,
And the Spirit that is the Inspirer
Be always with us
And so it is

Good Lord, do you ever get tired of people who pray for themselves? I will try to bear with it longer, since I have done the same.

Dear Lord, bless those with a superior attitude towards those who pray for themselves...out of desperation. I personally can't stand such superior attitudes, since they go against everything you teach Lord...but i digress.

PRAYER OF THOMAS MERTON
God, we have no idea where we are going. We do not see the road ahead of us. We cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do we really know ourselves, and the fact that we think we are following your will does not mean that we are actually doing so. But we believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you. And we hope we have that desire in all that we are doing. We hope that we will never do anything apart from that desire. And we know that if we do this you will lead us by the right road, though we may know nothing about it. Therefore, we will trust you always though we may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. We will not fear, for you are ever with us, and you will never leave us to face our perils alone.

*More a meditation than a prayer.
*God can be considered as "The Source of Life."

God is infinite and in God there is no lack.
God is full of blessings which are fully available at all times to everyone which nurture us to maturity.
So be happy, be grateful, be confident.
Stand tall, be bold.....you are accepted.
Follow the leading of your spirit.
Follow your bliss and you will find everything that you need to find in this world and you will do many great things.
