Basically, it was the story of an 11 year old girl who was stung by a box jellyfish (or some jellyfish like that) and survived!

That is super-amazing. I did not know that there were such poisonous jellies, either. I have met several people that survived snake bites, but they weren't hospitalized for six weeks like this little girl.

If you put a box jellyfish up against an electric eel, which one would win? If they mated and made an electric jellyfish, would it short itself out or sting itself to death?

Hey there. Yep, box Jelly fish are bad!!! Not sure what you mean by Ptbs????
But in Queensland there is a worse jellyfish(in my opinion) its the Irakanji (sp?). These guys are sooooooooooo tiny, you can hardly see them. And they pack a powerful punch..
(ps, when swimming at the beach in Australia, always carry, sunscreen, (obvious to most but unfortunately not all.. minimum 50spf) and fresh water, and I always carry a little bottle of white vinegar, (for stings).
