On July 11th, 1995 Serb forces entered Srebrenica. They took 8000 men and boys from women, proceeding to brutally massacre them over the following couple of days.
This week, over 5000 Bosnian Muslims and many others from international communties have been marching all over Srebrenica The March of Peace 2010, honoring the 775 victims who will be burried there on 7/11th of this year. Please visit the website below and say a prayer. Thank you.
Srebrenica Genocide Blog
To this day, majority of Serbs deny the Srebrenica genocide. However, things are slowly changing. Women In Black of Serbia have attended anniversary funerals for the past several years, and have been working on raising awareness of their people. Most recently, they have been requesting a collection of shoes to be donated and for the serbian government to ensure the building of Srebrenica Memorial in Serbia which will be constructed with the shoes donated, symbolizing the victims of Srebrenica.
Thank Allah SWT that people are diverse! Thank Allah SWT that there are people who are not afraid of the truth. Anyone denying any form of slaughter has something wrong with them (i.e. denying Holocaust, genocides, etc).
May all the victims of Srebrenica genocide rest in peace!
