It just clutters up the Forum. Since the news stories are already on the top page of Interfaith, why not leave them there and keep the News Bot out of the Forum?

Apparently I, Brian set the News bot up to bring automatic information to the forum.

I for one can find news without "automatic" inundation by such.

The inundation is simply because I set up the script to publish the last 10 news stories - current rate of publishing them on the front end is about 4-5 a week, so I don't think they are going to particularly clutter the forums.

I think it's worth seeing if the stories covered on the front end of the site can develop discussion further on the forums, not least as sometimes these are later referenced anyway.

An experiment, to see how things go.
