Does any one do the following

Like, for example: I'm most familiar with the Western Magical approach which includes a westernized version of kabbalah (Jewish mysticism), tarot (the Golden Dawn system), sacred geometry and number magic, western astrology...stuff like that. So, the imagery I would selct for my "spells" would include the esoteric meanings of that stuff. So, the color green and the number eight would have certain esoteric meanings tying into creative stability and the recirculation of wealth- kind of thing.

Yeah, and I'm used to the Rosicrusian way...(surprised)?

Yeah, that's me Chris...I believe.

ChinaCatSunflower: Can you explain thanks: Ha! Remind you of anyone?:D

Yeah, me and Q hit it off a bit rough at first! He's one of the good ones, but he takes his job seriously. The fact that he's got my back now humbles me.

In life, things can start off bad before they get good.

When I first joined the forums, things were really bad. It got badder ..... I mean better.

I see you were here just before me. See, when I got here I thought things needed to be stirred up, badly. I'm still sympathetic to stirrers. I think forums need argumentation to stay alive.

hi Chris,

so you've studied some of the formal western traditions and have modified them to fit your own style. impressive actually.

i found the western symbology to be all out of whack to my way of thinking and consequently have only managed to scrounge together the basics of the predominate systems... though, in a foundational sense, nearly all the western tradition traces its origins to the Golden Dawn so their texts often provide the key to unlocking the other traditions teachings.

my own tradition is a fusion of Taoist Spiritual Alchemy and Tantra which as an extensive body of symbology as you may well imagine :)

metta.
