Does (in the end) it really matter what science (what I would call scientism--the reductionist and physicalist approach of Western popular culture) says? Can one proove H!s existence through mind? Instead, does not your religion lead you to experience the D!vine directly?

That is a matter of debate. See what most scientists and philosophers and mathematicians see science as (a pretty closed community) is modeling a rational, describable, intersubjective world. In that sense, economics is scientific. Micro-economics has led to some pretty interesting neuropschological validations (look up "risk" and "neuroscience:). Macro-economics has led to some pretty interesting predictions and explanations (see de Mequita's and Bernake's work).

Okay, on both micro- and macro- fronts the work is still awaiting its Newton. But you can make falsifiable predictions and test them.

Exactamentary.... like the rest of the dream... it is perspective, it is what we make of it...

If the naysayers can lead the papers to say that the fall of Greece will collapse our economy and get us to believe it....it will.

What do we export to Greece, what companies are reliant on Greece's payments to keep afloat?

If we believe it is all good house prices go up....believe it to be bad...house prices go down...


the disciples think there are thousands without food....they need to be fed...they ask Jesus...what should we do...should we call Dominoes pizza and have them deliver? (the fact that they asked indicated Judas had enough silver and gold to feed 20,000!!) If Jesus had said "Oh my Father, for mysake, just let them fend for themselves and starve" then it would have been pandemonium, perceived lack. Instead he asked....well what have we got? Let us toss that out to the masses and he started a food fight and sent the disciples out to clean up the mess and they came back with twelve baskets full...

Our economy is simply smoke and mirrors....lack or abundance a choice....

are we in a global recession or setting record in movie sales??
