God....He or She

Not since the Divine Tiff leading to the Divine Divorce.

Baal Legends say El had two 'wives'.

Anyway, middle-east aside; The concept of divine gender is an innate species idea;
God(Goddess) is female if you are insect with advanced minds,
but male if you are reptile or mammal (allowing for advanced thought capabilities).
A simple zoological test should settle the matter for a species?

If you ever read the NT, Jesus said in John 4:24 that God is a Spirit. To relate to a being as male of female, it must be corporeal. Being a Spirit, God could not be related to as being male of female. Spirits are not corporeal beings.

All beings have sex either male or female. The notion of a sexless being is simply not true. Sex is a white light that is pure consciousness and consists of a pattern that makes up that spirit. The pattern can be compared to genetic codes that make up a persons body. We are not one with our soul and spirit but rather it flows into our body supporting our life. We are really very complex beings consisting of a threefold consciousness. One male one female and the oneness of the two. We were originally created in the image of the Creator which is also this complex being. When the fall occurred the male and female split due to the sin of adultery which caused mortality. We need to merge back to whoever is our own opposites to have infinite life in paradise. So yes Jesus was a male but does have a counterpart. GOD has a female counterpart. Its the nature and structure of an infinite being.

I believe he is saying spirit....is not a being...I believe in G!d as principle...not a being...not male or female....

No part or counterpart.

"There is no such thing as an individual consciousness that doesn't have sex. Its just some made up fantasy

I don't remember if I have posted in this thread or not. I notice many opinions that are not based on actual sources of theological understanding. I've heard all beings have a sex. That isn't true in any of the Abrahamic Texts or Scientifically. There are Millions of "creatures" which are asexual in our world. Ameoba, Mushrooms, and Sponge just to name a few. Then there are Hermaphroditic "creatures" such as many plants and some of the animalia of worms and amphibians. From scripture there is no basis that God has any gender and until extremely recent was never questioned. metaphorically speaking with millenia old rettoric (SP?) God was referred to as He. This coincides with Man being the "Head of the Family" or in larger terms "Head of State". But never does God say in any revalation that I have read that God has Male or Female physicality. Islam is very clear in that God has no gender
Say, "He is Allah , [who is] One,
Allah , the Eternal Refuge.
He neither begets nor is born,
Nor is there to Him any equivalent
112:1-4
While it doesn't say God is not Male or Female, we can deduce from the fact that he does not beget, that there is no need for a distinction of charactaristics. Furthermore the argument that has been thrown around that we should look around at all these things that have those charactaristics, is answered (from an Islamic Perspective) by this Surah as well. We can't compare God to his creation.

even if they seem asexual they still have a sex

According to Isaiah 46:5, God cannot be compared to any thing whatsoever. He has neither form nor image. (Deut. 4:15,16) Man was created in the image of God's attributes; meaning to share with God the dominion of the world.

Are you implying above that the fall of Adam and Eve was due to adultery? I wonder whom she had committed adultery with. BTW, adultery did not cause mortality. Mortality is of the nature of man. In fact, Adam and Eve were banished from the Garden of Eden to prevent them from eating of the tree of life and live forever. (Gen. 3:22,23) It means that this attribute could not be shared with man. Only God is immortal.

The creations story is about the creation of HUMAN . There was a whole human community consisting of pairs that even though were two : one male and one female, were together what ONE human being was. Adulty among the pairs caused a split of the two. Its like the story of Solomon and the two mothers. The true mother knew cutting the baby in half would surely kill it so she would rather give it up than see it die. I believe that story is directly related to the split of the pairs in the beginning causing mortality. There is also a whole heavenly community consisting of archangels and angels who are eternal beings. The notion of god being some formless being directly contradicts jesus.

How does the notion of G!d as a formless being (which I do not believe in G!d as a being but) contradict Jesus?

Because the formless doesn't take on a form and jesus being god incarnate and or the image of clearly shows this. Man was created in the image of god clearly showing he has form.

I wrote a paper some years back about different anatomies but that each anatomy has a sex . A good example is shakiti and shiva which have bisexual anatomy. The animal kingdom only represents this. Going by simply human anatomy doesn't explain all this but I do believe the complex anatomies other than simple human anatomy explains things such as bisexuality and homosexuality. God does have form. His anatomy is all anatomy rolled up into one and his counterpart is opposite. We all have an opposite sex counterpart and the anatomy is reversed.

On the contrary the Catholic Church teaches that the use of She to describe God is a sin.

God has revealed Himself, as He has chosen to reveal Himself, in the image of a Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Added to this He has taken on human nature in Jesus Christ, as God He become forever a male. To deny what God has both revealed and accomplished is a sin. So to call God She is offensive to Him.

Welcome MM. Your short time here you have proclaimed some very specific statements about religion. All generic and none with any documentation beyond your own beliefs. Proclamations of any kind might be taken more seriously if you support your comments with evidence from reliably accepted sources. Just a thought.

Any G!d that takes offense...

ain't no G!d.

Not only is God offended by all sin, but many times in the Bible it states that God hates sinners who commit various sins.

The reason that we are required to hate the sin and love the sinner is that we do not know all that is part of the individual who committed the sin and all its circumstances. God does. He knows exactly how many times the person rejected the inspirations to stop from sinning and what thoughts lead the person to chose to offend him perfectly.

So God hates the sinner if the sin is serious not just the sin. When God hates or is offended like all things in God it is infinite. That is why hell is forever without rest or peace. It is a life without God or His goodness only his wrath modified with His Justice and Kindness because each punishment is not infinitely painful as the person would deserve. So Hell is God's last mercy. But it is an eternal persistent suffering.
