They say you can tell a lot about a person by the kind of car they drive. I don't know exactly how that works, but I do think it's an interesting subject. So, my fleet numbers 3. My everyday driver, the newest in our fleet, a well worn 1996 Chevrolet Corsica. My wife's daily transportation, a 1993 Mazda Miata. Last, but not least is my time machine. The chariot of my youth. A 1964 Chevrolet Corvair Convertible. Seldom driven, but lovingly preserved. I have no idea what that says about me, other than I'm cheap, but that's what we drive!

i dont know really, I choose my car because it was inexpensive which says I dont have a lot of money I guess.

I've never owned a car in my life. I have public transport, buses and trains, in the next road, and if that's not enough, I can call a taxi. That's called living in a civilised community. And being a smug environmentalist!

That's great! Around here it's a 5 mile walk to the nearest bus stop and a taxi would have $10 on the clock before you even hit the main road.

Can't drive (no depth perception or stereoscopic vision.) If I got behind the wheel...  :p

My older brother used to own a 1948 Olds Hydromatic, so what does that say about him?

It says he was ahead of his time... depending on when he owned it. That was the first Automatic GM produced. (1 speed!)

Howdy Phyllis,

I have two college friends who are brothers and legally blind from a maternal gene: The women carry it; only the men show the symptoms.

The brothers and I are all somewhat tech savy. You may be interested in following the AI "driverless" automobile news we're following.

Could very easily be that within 10 years, or less, you could be "driving".

Aloha.. Allen

He owned it in 1999 or 2000. He made a big mistake in removing the floorboards before he was ready to replace them with something (then, according to him, a couple of neighborhood kids shot a few holes in the radiator and the engine block, but I'm not too sure that was the reason he got rid of it.)

Dear brother wasn't born until 1961.

I drive a Honda Jazz. I like them very much indeed and just bought my eighth a couple of weeks ago. I usually pass my previous one down (for free) to whichever of my children who wants it.

Wow, I had to look that up. We call it the "Fit" here. Imagine Quirky Bird having a Fit! :D

Sorry I don't understand?

No worries. Just a little joke. You see here, what you call the Honda Jazz is called the Honda Fit. The word 'Fit' is sometimes used here to describe a 'temper tantrum'. Just struck me as funny given your last experience on the forum. No ill will intended...;)

Riiiiiiiiiight.

Btw the way I didn't have a temper tantrum when I left the forum last time. I frequently flounce off forums, and then flounce back again, it is what I do.:D

I regularly drive the most environmentally friendly vehicle and best 4 by 4 by far; the Land Rover, it is a Defender 90, 300tdi and I have had it for 8 years or more. It never lets me down and daily travels a route that would quickly destroy any lesser vehicle.

We also own a Peugeot 406, we have had that 2 or 3 years and paid £800 for it

What these say about me, I will leave to the reader to imagine
