I love cats. They are the quintessential pet in my religion. However, unlike most catlovers, l consider cats to be rather stupid and l don't consider something that poops in a tray to be my friend. More like, my charge.
I certainly don't think a pet cat owns me, l am not a cat slave. When l had a cat all l did was feed the cat several times a day, fill her litter tray, often cover up messy parts of the litter tray, empty the litter tray, change the litter, clean the tray itself, clean the food bowl, buy more food, stroke the cat, massage the cat, clean up her fur, search for her when she went outside, remove her fleas via diatomaceous earth, flea spray, etc when she returned from outside, occasionally bathe her and a few other odd jobs.
