On What are your Religious Beliefs Based?

Ben....are you revered in the other forums you spam...or is it only this one that folks call you out?

As I can see, you are so anxious to slander me that you even post the same post twice, one after the other. Now, you are implying that every one posts and I am the only one who spams. As long as you feel good, I have walked my way.

Actually...I don't know what happened there, my wifi link went out as soon as I clicked post the first time... when it came back on the internet must have decided it important...and I can't figure out how to delete.

But do you always jump to conclusions like this and make such assumptions and then just run with it as if it were fact?...that explains some more I suppose.

That's not jumping to conclusions. That's an intelligent assumption. You have been in this forum much longer than I have and, now you want me to accept the excuse that you don't know how to delete a post? Just erase it and print "Deleted post". Then, post the reply. No one has to know what was there.

Again with the intelligent assumption which is 100% wrong. Yes I've been here a while...but as you and Ben both know...this is a new forum... and I ...I still haven't found the edit key... how do I erase what I can't edit?

take note both posts are labeled post #181...what would your intelligent assumption be about how I rigged that?

You must be kidding! The edit key is right there at your left side in the computer. Perhaps, you clicked more than once too fast. This happens to all. The point is that you should be able to delete it without any problem as you can see immediately after you post your reply.

I must be blind .... where is this edit key right on the left?? I have not figured it out since the system swap.

That is strange that the edit and delete buttons don't appear beneath your own posts. Let me see what I can do about that.

"Do to others what you want them to do to you" the common usage version of what JC said which was "Do to others what you want them to do to you."

There is a logical fallacy to this, seemingly, noble concept. It assumes what 'you' want is a positive thing. Take a sadist for example. Do unto others in their case would be acting masochistic towards others. Not what most people would view as a positive experience. According to the saying though, that would be doing unto others as you want done to you.

Which brings up a possibly more appropriate saying "Be careful what you wish for"!

been wondering that since the beginning... am I the only one?

Exactly my point...it is arrogant to think we all want the same thing....hence...

Do unto others as they'd have done unto them...

I think it's a helpful guideline, puts some perspective on some situations. I don't know why it would be taken as a law and every single sentenced words of wisdom can be twisted and broken. I think the intention is to do good and how to find how.

Do you consider what I said as 'twisting' or 'breaking' the stated quote about how to do good? That was not my intent.

Well, yes, but not in an intentional sort of way. Like you said in that other thread, perhaps your just over thinking it. But it's probably that I have my idea of what it is and you have yours, it looks better from where I'm standing.
