Roll call...

Don't mean to lurk but I hesitate posting for reasons explained previously. I will post again and hopefully I will post some things with substance. Right now my posts likely would leave folks wondering 'just how crazy is this fellow anyway?' :) ED

Anyone hear from Muslimwoman, Wil, Aussie, NJ, or Sam lately? I felt that we had a nice reunion going on here at the beginning of the year.

MW and Sam usually pop in and out for short bursts, wil is unusually absent, I didn't think he could go a whole week without posting. Aussie and NJ I don't know about.

Yeah, his silence concerned me too. Hopefully he's just off enjoying some vacation time with his family.

I'm still kicking. Spending time with my old pal was just what the doctor ordered. Aussie left this past weekend to meet up with his wife in California. She's been visiting her family there while he's been here. They'll be heading to Fiji after that to help his father-in-law clean up from the cyclone. What a mess that is.

Happy to hear Aussie's visit had positive effects.

I'm back home now. Had a blast with my mate in the states. Can't wait to go back. Got some editing done, some scripts wrote and relived my depraved youth...lol!

Physically I couldn't do much beyond throwing some coin at the problem, but the Fiji people have great resolve and the clean-up effort is moving right along.

AT, sometimes it is best to do that since oftentimes it's the locals that know what needs to be addressed and it's the outsiders that cause the SNAFUs (or worse.) Hell, I knew someone irl that, if he had two functioning brain cells, he could destroy the Outback with his "ideas"/"suggestions" on disaster relief.

Always best to let the captain steer the ship. I was just trying to help my Pop-in-law and quickly found I had more coin than brawn...! :D

Sometimes "the captain" knows less than one of his/her "underlings" (no offense towards your Pop-in-law.) Heck, history's full of instances of people losing their lives because they listened to the "expert".
