What NON-POLITICAL, NON-RELIGIOUS Headlines Are You Following?

Wow, this thread made me realize how out of touch I am with the news media in every way by just not looking into anything other than religious stuff and ancient history or whatever. I couldn't say what is going on at all. I went to the train station here in Vancouver and looked up at the tv which has little news blurbs and learned Justin Trudeau, the young Canadian Prime Minister's brother died and some cartoon was made of it or said to be in poor taste? Then I boarded the train. That was my news for a long while I guess before I get some other glimpse.

Aside from Religion and Politics and Sport ---there is the latest story of folks suffering or slipping on a banana or a dog being bitten by a man.

I know that sounds cynical...not my fault...

I'm just reporting on the news

Do people still slip on banana peels? I thought that was just a thing of the past told by our forefathers and drawn in ancient picture collections called cartoons.

Heartwarming moment identical twins meet after a month apart

"Twin sisters Olivia and Zoe were born prematurely at just 29 weeks, and heartbreakingly had to spend their first month of life apart as they individually built up their strength.

However, when the girls were finally reunited after 27 long days, they couldn’t have been more excited, reaching across their mum’s chest to share their first embrace."

This story affects hundreds, if not close to a thousand, people: https://www.jpost.com/Israel-News/F...Boeing-planes-banned-in-France-Germany-583223

Here's more information that I've found: https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/boeing-737-crashes-liability-204033568.html

The recent banning of the newest Boeing airplane came after the second fatal crash involving the product and, unfortunately, I totally agree with the decision until the problem is rectified. Even more people's lives depend on a safe mode of transportation imho.

I just found out that Dame Judith Olivia Dench was cast as Old Deuteronomy inthe 2019 version of Cats. Yeah, Dame Judi Dench was cast as a fooking tomcat.

I know, I know. They admitted to genderswapping the character, but T. S. Elliot's poem about Old Deuteronomy specified that the "leader" of the Jellicle cats was a fooking tom (and an intact one, too!)

I apologize for my rant here, but that's just one thing that I have against the casting of the film.
