Common sense will tell you that he who funds an enemy to no longer be an enemy might be a ummm ... quasi ok strategy. Uncommon sense will show you that an enemy who becomes a friend is no longer an enemy.

When common sense tells you we've established everlasting peace and all weapons have been discarded do you think that might be an umm ... ok strategy?

When uncommon sense shows you that all is peaceful and shows you how it will always remain peaceful, then demands that the weapons remain, yet insist that they never be used until they must ... How about that strategy ... yeah ...

I had a similar contemplation yesterday, when I saw a meme describing the cost of the rocket the Drone and warfare in general. What if that money was used to feed the insurgents living on a dollar a day?

It has been tried in the past, and more often than not, it comes back to bite us on the buttocks. The act of attempting to make friends of enemies by buying the friendship. I'm thinking 1 Corinthians 13 could possible and more than likely apply. Like coins falling to the ground having no value whatso ever, clang clang clang clang clang …..
 
Tried? When? The US has been at war our whole lives..

Like warned us and now we sit with more spending than the next how many countries? And our companies supply war machines and weaponry to past and future enemies?

Exactly … we supply a rebel force that is armed to overthrow a government in chaos, then those who take over power become an enemy to us also. That's what I was alluding to. Paying people to be our friends doesn't work. Hell, we could offer ourselves to be martyred and unless it was done with an all encompassing care, then that too is futile and means nothing. The point is you don't gain friends from buying them, you earn them by truly caring.
 
Love your neighbors, love your enemies ... which is to say, in a way that shows not only that you care about them, but remain true to that all encompassing kind of care also. Of course there will always be a sort of favoritism in play, those we're closer to, those we're around more often, those who have touched our lives in such a way that it compels us to favor them over those we don't know as much about. Even so, it isn't difficult to be kind to others, even those we may disagree with in how they live.
 
I prefer what and who I prefer, and the same is true for everyone else too. Some like woman, others like men, others like both. I like woman, who tend to like guys and other woman too, but then when personality meets the mark, when appearance does her part, and when those combine and she's nothing but fine, then that's when I get my win, whether guys and woman or only guys, when that mark is met I can't deny, as long as she is as in to me as I am into her.

Favoritism … It's how things are. The question becomes who and how many if any and when … ?
 
In a spiritual war, Who we are is in the front and our tail gunners are watching our backs … our guardian angels (we always have two). Things operate as usual, but we need an awareness, an abc's and 123's of the how to's to utilize what we have at out disposal.

Life can grab us by our yayoo's and yank em till there blue (kinda). It's nuts I know, but it's true. I've discovered that when push comes to shove, we must shove back but not always like most people view a shove to be.

Say I'm hungry and life is making my life difficult … worry less and eat healthier and smarter, to help you gain what you need. If life is making us sad, find some shit that'll help reverse the sadness until you find your rock steady.

That's what cupid does. He helps us center ourselves in undefinable ways, because it's different for all of us. His only job in life is to center his own target.

Self discovery 101 son ...

Anyway, the same is true for all of us. That's where it all begins. Knowing what we need for ourselves to center our own target, and pursuing it with everything in us. Things my father said … Well it's true.

As life changes around us, and the better we become able to center our targets in life (they tend not to just stand still) we somehow find ourselves in position to realize our dreams, dreams we never even knew or realized we had.

They knew … they always do, and when we need it most, they're there for us, not just looking out as guardians do, but in very real and extremely meaningful, extraordinarily personal ways.

So, to get a few win wins under our "belts" we gotta lean on # 1 … "our rock steadies" … Hell, it's all one. Life I mean … We just need to realize the need to aim for the center, and once we learn how to … keep centering it as life changes before our eyes.

Ok, my body is telling me something, but what could it be? I'm going out for a burger … I'm getting a little hungry.

I guess peace is better than war, but some are so he'll bent that peace becomes little more than a far away dream or maybe a hope for after death. Peace is better. Too many want to force rule though. It's a power play either way. One about about self control the other about controlling others.
 
I read the art of war as the art of peace.

Of course I read it like I read the stories in the Bible, or Gita...

With each entity being part of my psyche, battling, debating, healing, or working together to create that which come out of my mouth or into my thoughts.
 
I've reading it myself, and thought I'd do a parody of sorts here. I think the battle is within ourselves, and somehow manifests in life also. Even when I laugh and smile there seems to be contention because of. Aside from being emotionless and nin expressive I'm not sure the battle will end, but then if I do that my life wanes to the point of non existence.
