The only thing working was the little yellow light in the corner of the tower, flashing twice, paused, flashed three times, paused then repeated everything pretty much endlessly until I had one of the other caseworkers take it in for me (I didn't want to argue with this one public transit driver about letting me bring my Radio Flyer wagon on board [waste of a good evening of "adult entertainment" has let other passengers break actual rules/laws on board!]) Gave the caseworker four sachets of herbal tea for his trouble along with suggesting a way to have real tea without most of the caffeine (ditto regular sodas.)

Except it would not restart

I still believe it was Microsoft punishing me for installing Apache Office instead of purchasing Word. It cost a bomb to repair. I've now got Microsoft Word Starter = word lite -- free

I didn't even have that! I actually contacted my rl friend, America, and asked her to do what I jokingly refer to as her "witchcraft"(one of her doctorates is in computer science, and she has to use her own keyboard any time she's on a computer [otherwise she'll leave the machine in her dust]!)

Her wrists are pretty much permanently in what could be called "secretary's/typist's resting position" (heck, I believe she had carpal tunnel surgery to see if that could correct the hand position, but was unsuccessful.)

I felt like a fruit salad so I got bananas, tangerines and tinned peace slices -- with custard.* I'll make enough to share with you all. Happy new year all you IO folks, whatever your faith or non-faith and wherever you are in your various time zones :)

It's 4.45 pm here in Devon, UK and dark already

*It's all they had available at the local PO shop

I have never been to so many new years eve parties in one night nor got to talk to that many friends..

What the future has in store for us is inconceivable...

I so wanna come back to life repeatedly than hang in heaven for eternity...
