Motivation for Life after Death

There are more than 2 ways to cook an egg. The point is that how someone dies is not relevant but how they lived as a partner to God. Eternity is by definition with some added effects, as the maintenance of this life's mindset. Those who love God will continue to love Him, those who hate God will continue to hate Him. Of course justice is heavily involved.

No man, can be, or is, a partner of God.

We can be a servant of God. Islam teaches it as Submission.

Regards Tony

Your reply has no connection with what Ahanu had said. God is fiction, otherwise kindly give your evidence for it. Eternty will go on but you live only for a certain period of time, the world average at the moment being 73.2 years (https://www.worldometers.info/demographics/life-expectancy/). There is no 'after' that for any person.

No, I was giving my views about Deepak Chopra.
I like reading your words, it reminds me where I need to work on my words

Can you see where speaking ill of Depak and then comparing him to a poster is by implication denigrating the poster?

We are here to speak of thoughts, philosophies, religions in an interfaith manner and not put down another's beliefs, but explore how they came to believe it, learn to understand them (I have a long way to go)

It is always, eternally, "now". We know no other experience of time. Gods or no gods, there is no time like Tomorrow.

If I can't be a nice person *now*, well, then I'm not being a nice person. I can't procrastinate on that one. Everlasting World Without End is happening right here, right now, this is where it matters. Very straightforward. The Sages taught that. Jesus taught that, I'm sure. The Buddha kept insisting on that point like a one-trick-pony.

To this Atheist at least, that's it. The Law and the Prophets. The Jewel in the Lotus. The Summum Bonum. Don't put off being a decent human being to some future existence. The future is totally unreal.

Looks like I have not even started yet. I understand, Wil. I need to be less critical.
