You won't learn anything like that.
You are "stuck" .. you can only hear your own thoughts.
There is no debate with such a person.

The word "facts" seems to impress you .. you read about "facts" and can no longer use
your own mind to reason. :)
Reason requires facts as a basis to draw conclusions.

You can't handle the truth.

Reason requires facts as a basis to draw conclusions..
That's right.
..but what is fact and what is not ALSO requires reason. :)

Something is not a fact, just because a group of people claim it to be.
..but there is nothing to learn here .. you say something is "a fact", and I say it is not.
End of conversation.

..unless of course, we can learn to be more humble .. and listen to each other.

The Torah says what it says. That is a fact.

No group of people told me that, I read it and you can too.

If you state that is not a fact, then you are not rational or you're a liar.

Your play.

The Torah says what it says. That is a fact.
It doesn't say anything!
I presume you are reading a translation .. you are not reading it in Hebrew.

As an aside, I do not believe the Torah "Hebrew word-for-Hebrew word", in any case.
It is a collection of ancient scrolls, that have been rewritten .. some, most likely, many times.
However, I DO believe, that it is based on truth.

If you state that is not a fact, then you are not rational or you're a liar..
If this is your style of debate, I doubt you'll last long here.
This is an interfaith site, and we try to respect one another.

The subject is NOT about what you believe. The subject is what the Torah states. We can read it, and the words are facts. You might not believe what the words say, but Jews state that they believe it. That's the issue.

Respect is earned. You are a long way from earning it, based on your comments.
