Some dude name Q is saying that I judging people, and being intolerant. Now, prehaps its just me, as I dont think I have been. But, if I was, I'd like someone to show you.

I hope this post dont get deleted, and that Q finds something else to do in the mean time.

Later,

Conscience

P.S. I wont be surprise if I get banned again. But, why? What did I say that was really so bad?

well, first of all Q is a moderator, not some dude. that means we show respect to those who have the rule or are in authoritive postions. the bible teaches this. Q is a bible believer & he loves the Lord Jesus.
Q is also a military man who serves & protects our country & that deserves a LOT of respect.

Conscience, you have come across judgmental, even if that is not your intention. i think you should consider what you say to others before you say it, especially if you dont even really know the people. dont you think Jesus would do this?
& an apology might be in order here.

If you really like CR, then slow way down.:) We are on your side, but you have to stop & think before you speak.

p.s. i wont be suprized if you get banned too & that would not be a very good witness for the Lord Jesus. Especially when you are at a place that allows us to discuss our faith in him.

Appoligize for what? If I was wrong, I would no doubt appoligize, but Im NOT wrong. Q, you do know that, right? You guys say that "I come accross as judgemental." Who's judging who here? Also, as people who are called by God to be witnesses of Christ, we shouldnt be arguing with each other. There are so many things we have to fight agaisnt as Christians, we should NOT waste time fighting among ourselves! I never ONCE judged anyone here, nor do I now. But, because I say that Jesus ALONE is the ONLY way to God, we're having this discussion now. Because I say that we are sinners in need of a Savior, I got banned. Jeeeze.. You guys act like I misqouted the Bible, or lied or something? One question though: How come everyone else here can give their opinions without being innoyed by emails that threaten to band them?

If you want to preach at other Christians, and tell the world that you're the only "real" Christian, then Geocities will let you open up a website for free to do it.

CR isn't a place to do it.

Christians are welcome to evangelise, share their experiences, discuss their outlook on faith - but being present simply to use CR as a personal soapbox will get you banned real quick.

So far you've showed a decent restraint - anybody can be forgiven a mistake mended. But you need to ask yourself whether your here because you want to tell other Christians how wrong they are - because if so you're in the wrong webspace. If you want to share faith with other Christians, because as a new Christian you want to maybe even learn something from the other Christians on this board, then maybe you'll fit in fine after all.

In addition:

Questioning the site staff and simply complaining about being chastised without trying to understand why action was previously taken is not a good move. There are preferred ways to behave in any community environment. If you can take that on board here, then you are welcome. But if not, then that's your choice. The Code of Conduct may be a good place to get a good idea of the basic guidelines for the site:

In general, just respect that other people here will have different views to your own - but just accept that, rather than reach for the soap box. :)

Hope that helps.

Finding a balance between allowed speech and speech which is considered contentious is, I believe, one of the most difficult roles a moderator/Administrator has. As an Administrator on www.ww2aircraft.net I prefer to err on the side of freedom of speech, I consider it an inalienable right, that is one that cannot be given up even when we click the OK to the TOS on these sites.

However the place where I generally draw the line is where that "speech" becomes a mechanism for making another person feel attacked or dis-empowered. Of course I will be subjective in my understanding of that & it is this that makes the role just so difficult.

This site allows folk to be very up-front about their religion, it does not begin to moderate anyone's posts until they begin "hurting" other folk. Now, sometimes I can be the most tactless bugger on the planet, sometimes deliberately, mostly not. ANYONE can make a mistake but even mistakes have consequences. Just take a deep breath, conscience, and put it behind you.
