I honestly hope this doesn't offend, but as an anthropologist I'm understandably a bit skeptical that the Neanderthals were related to Nephilim. What evidence is there that the Neanderthals were anything other than a subspecies of Homo sapiens? All the current scientific evidence points to that direction; the Neanderthals were not too remarkably different from H. sapiens sapiens (us) and most of them would not be able to be picked out of a crowd if you put them in a business suit. We don't know at this point, but many scientists think the Neanderthals did not actually go extinct but rather their genes intermingled with H. sapiens sapiens as we radiated outward from Africa.
I realize for some people, the science of human evolution and population is completely irrelevant, as they believe humans were created just as they are now not five thousand years ago. But as a scientist, I'm having a hard time buying into Neanderthals being the progeny of angels and humans. Additionally, is there any evidence that giants ever existed on earth? The fossil record actually shows humans getting taller over time, not shorter. The earliest people were only about 3 1/2 to 4 feet tall. Is there an explanation in any of the religious texts that says what happened to the Nephilim corpses?
thinking about it a bit more- Abraham, the 'Founding Father' of Judaism, was from Sumeria (modern day Iraq) and a lot of this religuious thought would have been influenced heavily by the religion and mythology of Sumeria at the time. The Sumerian gods have a striking resemblance to the Nephilim (angels, not giants) and, in some cases, their actions are identical...
Kindest Regards, Tai!
Yet, this raises the issue of blind faith. It seems one of the most common charges levelled against mainstream Christianity is that they believe with no evidence, and so should shift their views towards a more non-mainstream view that has scientific evidence to support it. Yet, when pressed, one learns that scientific evidence does not truly exist, we are still talking about hearsay and allegation. Mainstream Christianity already has that much, and it is sufficient. Likewise, non-mainstreamers are just as blind in their faith without any credible evidence to support their positions.
Have you found those scrolls yet? I humbly suggest they do not exist, therefore...

Well, then use your mind here. The Sumerian people "obviously" were worshipping these fallen angels and their Nephilim offspring.
Jesus and his disciples all recognized the prophet Enoch. So the "mythological" religious deities were actually "real" beings.
Just a thought.. we are getting taller ... I read somewhere that the average height of a man was a lot shorter even a few hundred years ago.. /shrug
The Sumerians were worshiping the Nephilim race and their Giant offspring?- with ref to another of your postings as well- just when did archeology uncover the bones of this non-existant race of Giants? I have to ask, are you for real? Has it ever occored to you that it's more likely that the Nephilim and Giants are simply MYTH. Recognising the biblical Enoch and believeing the APOCRAPHAL Book of Enoch to be true are two TOTALY seperate things. Is it not MORE LIKELY that the Nephilim MYTH is based on the sorys and myths of the Sumerian gods? And I've got to ask again WHEN AND WERE IS THE EVIDENCE OF THIS NON EXISTANT RACE OF GIANTS THAT ARCHEOLOGY HAS UNCOVERED? And you realy ought to read what other people have written before critisising them- Path Of One doesnot contradict him/herself, go back and read again. And what has that (racist) cr*p about Germany and Germans got to do with anything? Infact why am I even bothering to respond to you at all????
By the way Divine- The Biblical/Noah's flood hasn't been 'proved' by science-unless you're refering to the end of the last ice-age (which happend before the world existed if you're a creationalist which I think you must be) OR you might mean the truely magnificet flood of the Mesoptainan Valley (that's were the Sumerians lived) that happened very shortly after the Sumerians settled there. There's the only 'proof' of the Biblical flood. It's obvious from your postings you don't believe a word of science, only the bible. Fine- don't twist what science says to suit your purposes. This forum and it's threads are ment for open minded discussion- That's why you'll find people of different religions posting on here with different points of view and levels of knowledge and understanding. That, I think, is the last thing I'll ever have to say to you.
Oh, and by the way since when were Vikings from Germany? A little history and some basic geography wouldn't go a miss here... Hitler was Austrian. And you have a copy of the 'CIA fact book do you? Sorry, German people aren't alone in accepting evolution and it has far more evidence backing it up that the biblical account of creation (unless your only resource is the bible). Hitler considered the Germanic/ Arian race to be the 'master race'- there was no supernatural element to that belief-just eugenics (a flawed version of genetics). As for the rest... if the above simple and easily discoverable facts have evaded your notice so far...
Yep, even in the last 50 odd years the average height has gone up a few inches- a noticable increase since ww2. Neaderthal man may have been, on average, a bit taller than the average 'normal' human of their time but seeing as the giants height was supposedly measured in 'dozens of cubits' there is no corrolation between the neaderthals and the giants that were the offspring of angels/nephilim. That and the neaderthals were 'long gone' by the time Noah's flood was alleged to have happened knocks any relationship between them and the biblical nephilim right on the head.
