No thanks. We're fine with the truth...I mean Jesus, alone. Go Jesus!
Islam and peaceful go together like hell and ice cubes.Namaste Dor,
I believe you are exactly correct in the assertion that those comments belong on the Islam board.
I believe your second comment is incorrect, the sect which inhumility extols is promoting peace and cooperation and unity amongst religions.
I may have to check this more.Wil is correct. Ahmadi is a sect of Islam that is much like the Baha'i Faith, claiming a new revelation and stressing the relatedness of all religions.
I would be mainly interested in examining your claim that Jesus didn't die on the Cross. I would also like to propose that perhaps it would be better to start another thread if we are going to diverge into another line of reasoning.

You have asked for opinions on being able to discuss this subject, I think you have just received a few. Speaking as a moderator, while I will not discourage your Point of View, I do think that this board would be an unwise place for such discussion. I mentioned the Liberal Christianity board, the regular participants there are not quite as threatened by the position you take. Another has offered the Comparative board, which is intended specifically for such matters of debate. The choice is yours as to where you wish to discuss this matter, I simply feel it would be better received elsewhere than here. There are matters of etiquette that need to be followed in order to maintain peace, this you wish to discuss would not be polite or peaceful in this board. I fully understand your wish to participate in a peaceful manner, I have long watched your posts, and I feel you are not intentionally threatening. Even so, there are some subjects that are not well received in Christianity, just as I am certain there are some subjects that are not well received in Islam. What you are trying to do, whether you mean to or not, is the same as me posting a defamatory cartoon of Mohammed on the Islam board. I think we both know what that would cause; what you will do is just the same, as you have already begun to see. So I ask, as a friend, to take this subject elsewhere to discuss. There are two places that have been offered in exchange, the Liberal Christianity board and the Comparative board...the choice is yours.Hello every body! Believe me I enjoyed all the comments of my brothers/sisters and friends here who are members of this discussion forums, we now know each other for a long time and understand one another quite reasonably. I also knew that the topic may overflow the Christianity Board but nevertheless would remain of interest within the Abrahamic Religions and even beyond. But I also know that this discussion forum CR is a Mature Forum, at least I am convinced of that. I know other forums are not so mature though they have larger membership and are busier. People here are research oriented and reason oriented. They listen to arguments; they have restraint and patience not found elsewhere. Nobody is here to convert them to elsewhere.
Incidentally, I read the passage I quoted in my first post in this thread, here. I thought I should discuss it here without hurting other’s sentiments, and that is possible I think argument with arguments; why should be there an ill-feeling? I would remain respectful so would my friends, there will be no problem whatsoever, I believe.
Apprehensions are there, it is true. That is why I asked that “only if I am allowed to”.
Naturally I was asking for consensus of the members and the Moderators in this connection. I would be presenting arguments from Quran, from NTBible, from history, archaeology, medicine etc. etc and of course the above would be with a reference to Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the pioneer in this topic. My friends disagreeing with me would also present their arguments, peacefully, I am sure.
I am still seeking the desired consensus, if possible? Though, I don’t insist.
Thanks
