I've only recently begun reading an area of paranormal research known as "instrumental transcommunication." I'd heard of it before but dismissed it until I began to read of some of the findings. The field is about using audio-visual devices which appear to transmit communication from the "spiritual" planes of existence and is quite fascinating. Here is a link to a piece written by Dr. Anabel Cardoso discussing the history of the work and her own experiences, (includes explanations she received from "the other side" re how spritual reality may operate-again it seems when purported near-death experiences occur or things of this nature, what is commuticated via those experiences seems to give credence to so much of the dissed' "New Age" views):

For those who'd like to explore ITC more, here's an interesting webiste:

Kindest Regards, earl!

I don't know much on this subject, but I remain fascinated by the Psychomantium in Greece. As far back as 300BC, supplicants sought communication with the deceased. The Psychomantium was a large building dedicated to this one endeavor, containing in its bowels a very large reflecting pool. Seems to me a lot of effort and taxpayer expense by the governmental / religious administration if it were all a bunch of hooey.

What is fascinating to me re this, particularly the audio stuff in the work of Cardoso, is she has transcribed thousands of purported communiques from a group "on the other side" who have referred to themselves as Rio de Tempo, (she's Portugese), in the "broadcasts." They answer questions put to them re life as they know it "there," some of whose answers she noted in that article. She indicates that this "group" is establishing contact from their side in the effort to inform the "living." In fact, some of the history of ITC by other investigators purportedly involved folks on the other side providing info to investigators re how to modify their equipment in order to make their communication more accessible "here." This is not merely someone purporting to be a medium who gets answers "psychically" & therefore open to all the skepticism that brings. Rather, this is "them" speaking directly with us through the equipment. All in all, a fascinating proposition. earl

For the heck of it, here's a link to the section of Cardoso's website that features some audio files-in Portugese-along with English written translation:

Am confused  the first link says

"survival does not depend on the moral conditions or the ethical or religious values of those concerned – it is simply an inevitable fact of life."

But in the second link the young girl specifically refers to the Omnipotence and punishments for those that do bad things to children.
It also says people are more beautiful over there but in the photographs presented as evidence the people look exactly the same.

Salaam

Well I'm hardly an ITC expert but from what I've scanned of the info, essentially what they seem to be saying in re your 2 questions is : 1) all survive irregardless of one's state of mind and behavior during life, but, as many schools of thought have put forward, the "reality" we inhabit following death is a mirror of our life's mind state and behavior. 2) As to the "beauty" thing, descriptions of what is termed the "astral" realm in which some "reside" upon death suggest all objects are infused with greater-than-normal color or enhanced sound and/or our perceptions are enhaced to see what was always there, while perception on this side of things does not see the same quality. Can't think of the name of that movie Robin Williams did some years back re the after-life, but it's depiction of how at least some aspects of that realm operate seem to be identical to what these entities claim to be the case. Of course, it could be a TV picture quality thing-maybe they just need to try it out in high definition.:D earl

I may never switch my tv on again. Confusion gone, thanks.

Oh I see, the beauty is skin deep thing, so on the other side your inner beauty shows. Phew about time!!

Was rather spooked by the sites but was delighted to hear animals pass over too.
