You, your family, your friends, whoever, have finished their last Harry Potter book. Assuming you/they have developed the taste for fantasy fiction, where do you/they go from here?
First port-of-call might be other books in a very similar vein. I can think of the The Wizard of Earthsea trilogy by Ursula K Le Guin, as well as the eponymous Lord of the Rings or The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe...
Personally, I like and return often to the (fantasy) literature of M John Harrison. Currently reading Nova Swing (right up your street, Flow).
Anybody read/remember Mervin Peake? Michael Moorcock? Gene Wolfe? Fritz Leiber? James Branch Cabell? Andre Norton? Lord Dunsaney? H.P. Lovecraft?
Or am I showing my age?
