If I might interject about the original topic...But you are right, about the people not being destroyed
Q:
If I might interject about the original topic...
I was responding to mee's citation of a quote from Luke, which stated that the people had no warning of what was coming (contrary to the version you came up with) and were *all* destroyed (contrary to what turns out to be the facts). This passage is in error, indicating either that Jesus never said it (it is possible that the gospel writers elaborate sometimes) or that Jesus did not have perfect information (he was only human, after all).
Well said (I think). Could you pass the Crisco please? Chris, every once in awhile you start to expand upon yourself...this is one of those times. Who do you think you are putting in their place? Christians? Hardly. Irritating folk, is that your intention?
This is not a democracy Chris. And your predjudice is showing up loud and clear...and it is not enlightened.
Before you try to slam me, try re-reading what you posted...then we'll talk.

All I was trying to say to you was that I agree that the JW's and other groups are cultish and goofy, but they're also interesting in the same way that Ubangi tribesmen with bones in their noses are interesting. Take it for what it's worth.
Chris
not sure why you are saying that verse is in error ,it goes along with the rest of the bible .Q:

That's a buddy for you! Thanks Tao! Really, thanks.

But it doesn't go along with the actual facts of the case.not sure why you are saying that verse is in error ,it goes along with the rest of the bible .
Tell me what you think I was trying to say, Josh. I have a big blind spot when it comes to understanding how I come off to others. People find me arrogant. I mean, you're not the only one. But I don't see it, so maybe you can help me out.
Chris
Arrogant!! No way. I dont mind telling you what I think. I think you to be level headed and rational and put forward, to me at least, posts that make me stop and think. I find I rarely have to reply to you as what you share seems to come already complete. You are smart, honest in your posting and I have never seen you come close to attempting to savage anyone. You can sometimes be a bit morose but after your recent loss of your brother and our friend that is only to be expected. Dont let Q rattle you... he's like that lion in the 20th Century Fox Intro, big roar but is wearing false teeth and has no bite ,(sorry but you are a big pussy cat really Q),

What do you mean, you lost your brother??? Not the BMC out of Maine...?
My brother Mark, who you may remember as Prober, died suddenly of a heart attack on Father's Day.
Chris
Does the Bible teach that God is behind the natural disasters we see today? Not at all!
