Evil is a consequence of humans having the freewill to choose. But without freewill, there would not be the capacity to love, for love implies a choice.

But then the question is, does God have a freewill? And if so, does He have the capacity to choose evil as well?

Evil in humans is not free-will. It is u[bringing which turns mind in that way.
Hindu God have to pay when they do unjustified things (to compensate, to right the wrong).

Don't underestimate other factors. Genetics. Epigenetics. Position in the womb. Childhood illnesses. The list goes on. A person can have wonderful parents and still be a psychopath.

You are right. Genetics can influence people in these ways (DuckAssist):

But that will not constitute free-will if the DNA compels a person to act in a particular way (only an apparent/fake free-will).
Now you may say that God decides DNA. That is not my view. IMHO, DNA is decided by what the sperm or ovum bring to the union.
Does a wonderful parent wish to be a psychopath? Something beyond his/her control.
