When is it appropriate to share your religious faith with others?

Hi Mee!

First, I want to say that I sincerely appreciate how you've been making an effort to be more personable lately. Thank you for that!

The nicest person I know, a guy who I love like a brother, is my friend Eric. He is a JW. He was born and raised in the truth (as you all would say), and maybe that's why he's not such a tight ass about the whole thing. We've had some fantastic conversations over the years when we worked together, and I have extreme admiration and fondness for him because he's just that rare jewel of a person. He hooked me up with the naturopathic doctor who cured my daughter's alopecia when the medical establishment wanted to make her a guinea pig and charge us for it. Eric's son and his daughter have severe OCD and manic depressive/bi-polar problems, and he's on a one man crusade to understand and fix his kids. The man is a walking, talking encyclopedia of homeopathic knowledge.

If you guys can find a way to clone my buddy Eric you could take over the world.

You know damn well what I was talking about so don't try any of your manipulative narcissistic bullshit with me you coward. This is exactly the kind of control mechanism I was describing all along.
By going on and on about how saintly you are in allowing all on your doorstep and those who don't are selfish and rude you allude in a sly way to what was being said by me without directly doing so.
So cut the crap you pencil necked geek and If you want to go head to head with me do so and cut the passive aggressive schtick.

Yes I am angry and it is my choice to be so. The kind of behavior you exhibit is controlling, and manipulative and believe me whenever I see you using it on someone I'm going to be all over you like a cheap suit.
I've seen you do it to others and don't say much because people like Chris and Tao can take care of themselves, but when you start in on people like Dondi I take it personally. You feel like picking on someone you look me up and I'll be happy to oblige.

Hey, I'd be more than happy to discuss the finer points of punctuated equilibruim with you. The idea of rocks hitting the earth causing apes to change into people reminds me of the Rinsei Zen idea of hitting the student repeatedly with the Zen stick to cause the student to become enlightened. :)

Are you just trying to baffle us with bullshit, or do you have a coherent theory in mind that you'd like to share? That's the point, Chris. When it all comes down to where the the rubber meets the road, belief regarding origins of whatever flavor breaks down due to a lack of concrete evidence that can be proven in a definitive manner, leaving only faith to fill in the gaps. All you're left with is MU!

Hmm, back to the topic of the thread, would sharing your faith pose an ethical dilema towards the Samkhya tradition, so Prakriti won't evolve for Purusha anymore? (Is that the source of radical atheists, in that Prakriti still wants to evolve and keep Purusha imprisoned?)
