Complaint!!!!

come on language is a term used to indicate provocative marketing speak... the "gaydar" ad is a prime example.

seriously though, if you don't like to see ads on the websites you visit consider the two actions i recommended earlier.

Namaste francis,

thank you for the post.

i agree, using Firefox is a fantastic idea if one doesn't care to see ads on the forums and web pages they visit.

i'm not so much a fan of Opera though the folks i talk to that use it enjoy it quite a bit. those folks are more 1337 than i am though.

Out of curiosity Vajradhara: what kinds of adverts do you get when you don't have them turned off? Do yours say things like "MEET HOT BUDDHIST GIRLS!" ? Mine always say "MEET HOT CHRISTIAN GIRLS!" or "Find out who is waiting for you at ....christiangirls.com" or whatever. Seems like there are 4 of 5 adverts that cycle around. Once there was an advert for Jesus Christ ringtones for cellular telephones. I also get ones for the atheism web sites.

Namaste dream,

yeah, there were the Buddhist Singles ads and things like that. i've not seen ads for some time now so i'm not sure what may be cycling through at the moment.

I think I have seen about 12 Christian dating sites now. A friend of mine met his wife through one of those. I don't know which one.

Thanks saltmeister. This one totally cracks me up. What could be more random than a rabbit in a tux holding a telephone?

Here's a sample of the ads I've been getting:

Meet Beautiful Christian Women

Meet Hot Gay Men

The Muslim Matrimonial Site

Established Men

Sugar Daddy Dating
Where beautiful women and successful men meet

Penny Stock Opportunities

Try Civil Disobedience
I guess the ads can't figure out what to throw at me.
