Hello! I've been enjoying the posts on this forum. It seems like a civil, interesting and often jovial place, so I thought I'd join. Please be gentle, I'm new at this, although I have become a bit additcted to browsing through message boards on religion. I'm in transition between religions right now, too shy to say from what to where. Guess with all this surfing I'm looking for God between the lines. But, no matter where I land, if I land, I'm fairly sure of a few things. One, I won't fit in perfectly with any religion. Two, God won't mind this. Three, well, maybe I'll leave that for later...

Anyway, I'm around!

Kindest Regards, lunamoth! Welcome to CR!

If you're looking, then you came to the right place. Jump on in, the water's fine! :)

Hi lunamoth and welcome to CR. :)

Feel free to settle in - we are indeed a friendly and civil gathering. :)

Thank you

Thank you for the welcome--I'm happy to be here. I'll take this opportunity to test my ability to reply to posts. Testing, 1,2,3...

btw, I, Brian, I'm back from Spring Break and the computers are back from Spring Break.

Haha, found this old thread and it is almost exactly a year since I first joined this forum! Let's see, I guess at over 400 posts I can no longer claim to be new at this. It has been a year of transition for me, secret no longer that I was a Baha'i and returned to Christianity. I still respect the Baha'i Faith, as I do all religions, and in some ways I will always be a Baha'i:

When asked on one occasion: "What is a Bahá'í?" Abdu'l-Bahá
replied: "To be a Bahá'í simply means to love all the
world; to love humanity and try to serve it; to work for
universal peace and universal brotherhood."

(Dr. J.E. Esslemont, Baha'u'llah and the New Era, p. 71)

I still don't fit in perfectly, and I'm still sure God doesn't mind, and ha! I forgot what the third thing was going to be :D . But I have grown quite a bit in the good company of everyone here and I thank you all for putting up with me.

Peace,
lunamoth

Lol! I thought it was a somewhat strange thread to come back up. :)

Glad you're feeling more settled, too. :)

Kindest Regards, luna!
Congratulations on your anniversary! Of course, this makes me wonder if I should have posted a formal introduction. I haven't fit perfectly in so long I've forgotten, and at this point I don't expect I ever will! And you're right, God doesn't mind. Putting up with you has been a pleasure, you are most assuredly welcome!

*Golly, a year! Really? Has it been that long? Why, it seems like only yesterday... :)

Thanks all!

Jt3, I think it'd be great to see your introduction, as well as for anyone who hasn't yet made one. I find them interesting and also helpful sometimes to understand where people are coming from in their posts.

peace,
lunamoth

Thanks Ciel and ISFP :) . I like my moth too. I remember the first time I ever saw a luna moth, it wasn't too long ago. I was blown away at how pretty they are and how much their wing patterns look like real leaves and buds. Plus the moth represents my spritual journey--I was cocooned for a while.

ISFP--does ISFP stand for anything in particular?

cheers,
lunamoth
