Hot Tub Party

Um, that would be "patee" and ferretvite (they just love their ferretvite) :D carnivorous little weasels... lol

Don't forget the Ferretone either. They'll drink it straight from the bottle.
I pick mine up, lie them on their backs in the crook of my arm - like holding a babe - and they just close their eyes and suckle as if from the nipple of plenty.

Always remember that it is the squeeky weasel that gets the grease.:)

I've do not believe that I have been to Soda Springs but I have visited Harbon Hot Springs, in Calistoga north of San Fransisco and west of Santa Rosa, on many an occasion. I agree with you wil that a touch of snow fall does add to the aspect.

I have many fond memories of indulging in those pastoral ancient ways with twenty or so of one's fellows. Yet it is at its best when alone with one's thoughts and the quietude of nature.

Errata: The mountains are in the wrong place. it should read:
north of San Fransisco and EAST of Santa Rosa.

I wish I was well off enough to buy a real hot tub!

A hot tub is as affordable as one's ingenuity, and pocket book will afford.

I recall a field trip once where a group of volunteers had gathered together to assist in the improvement of a property for its use as a site for a later convocation event.

We had installed many yards of water piping, along their fixtures, for campers attending the festival to use. Near the close of the day, while supper was being prepared, a few "stock" tanks were gathered and pressed into service as impromtu hot tubs. Some GI-type, gasoline-fueled, field water heaters were set up to heat the water while we dinned in the hopes that they would be ready to inhabit after cleanup. To our dismay, and in spite of the safety precautions that were followed, someone obtained eyebrow singes from a particularly recalcitrant water heater when it was "lit off.":(

mmmmmmm hot springs and cold snow... I so have got to try that
Ouch! Jumping from the hot pool to the cool and back is very painful and disorienting for me. No matter how many times I try it I can never get used to it.

Going from a hot tub to a cold plunge can be quite the shock to the system, Dream.

I use breath control when entering the cold plunge, sink slowly, and find that this combination provides both focus and clarity of mind for me. I remain immersed in the cold plunge, breathing slowly, and do not leave until the body core temperature has dropped sufficiently.

On a skiing tournament I went to in Austria there was this cool pool down near the pub oin the mountains and it was an indoor pool, but you could swim outside vie this like tube to a pool area outside in the snow, there was pretty much a blizzard going and we are sat there in nothing but shorts in water :D And warm! :D That was a cool experience we placyed a compertition where you had to jump out the pool and lay down in the snow for as long as you could before bailing to the waters lol... Ah memories...

So, Chris got tired of you all getting chips in his tub, so I went ahead and rented a resort for us all for the next party.

I see someone has already got in. Tao, is that you?

I used to live at a hot spring....as there would be a few inches of snow on the lounge chairs...that was our competition as well. Of course over time you tolerated more and during a good storm we could lay there till we had an accumulation on our bodies...when you dove back into the water it felt like the heat pushed the cold into your bones.... Between the steam and the snow you could see further underwater than on top. And at the right temperature and breeze your hair and beard would have icicles.
