Mee is a Happy Reader of the Book of Revelation​

How comforting, therefore, are the words found in the introduction to the book of Revelation:

"Happy is he who reads aloud and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and who observe the things written in it; for the appointed time is near." (Revelation 1:3)

Yes, attentive and obedient readers of Revelation can find true happiness and many blessings.

The rider of the white horse described at Revelation 6:2 proves to be the same as the rider of the white horse portrayed at Revelation 19:11-16. and it is JESUS



In this latter reference his name is called "The Word of God," and on his thigh he wears the title "King of kings and Lord of lords."


Here he is pictured as at the grand climax of his charge against his opponents, when he brings his ride to final victory at "the war of the great day of God the Almighty" on the battlefield of Har–Magedon, or Mountain of Megiddo. (Revelation 16:14-16; 19:17-21)



Unseen to human eyes, there then comes the binding of Satan the Devil and his demons for a thousand years of confinement in an abyss. (Revelation 20:1-3)



Blessed are our eyes to see by faith the ride of the crowned King on the "white horse" since the end of the Gentile Times in 1914.


Thrilled at his conquests so far, mee crys out,

‘Ride on, you royal rider on the white horse, to your matchless victory at Har–Magedon, for the vindication of the universal sovereignty of Jehovah God, the Giver of this prophetic "sign."’

A simple, "Yeeeeeeeeyaaah, ride on!" might suit the script better. ;-)

Anyway, I wanted to remind thee, mee, that in opening another thread, you stated that things mentioned in Revelations could not be taken literally, but had symbolic meaning.

Does the "white horse" now mean a literal animal?

What does JW doctrine teach about the white horse and its rider, if they are actually symbols?

the book of revelation for the most part is symbolic , and of cause it is not a litral white horse ,but the symbols have great meaning


And I saw, and, look! a white horse; and the one seated upon it had a bow; and a crown was given him, and he went forth conquering and to complete his conquest." (Revelation 6:2)

a white horse charges forth.

In the Bible, the horse often symbolizes warfare. (Psalm 20:7; Proverbs 21:31; Isaiah 31:1)


This horse, likely a beautiful stallion, gleams with a whiteness that indicates unblemished holiness. (Compare Revelation 1:14; 4:4; 7:9; 20:11.)


How appropriate this is, for it portrays warfare that is clean and righteous in Jehovah’s holy eyes!—See also Revelation 19:11, 14.

Who is the Rider of this horse? He has a bow, an offensive weapon of war, but he is also given a crown.

In addition to this mee starts a lot of threads which provoke good discussion and opinions. If it wasn't for this there wouldn't be too much going on in this section of the forum I think.

AND DEATH WILL BE GONE FOR GOOD


And death and Ha´des were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire. rev 20;14

its not a litral fire, but it represents total destruction , mankinds common grave(hades) will be gone and death will be a thing of the past


yes Gods kingdom with JESUS ruling will ACOMPLISH GREAT THINGS :)
as 1 CORINTHIANS 15;24-28 informs us

Next, the end, when he(Jesus) hands over the kingdom to his God and Father, when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power. 25 For he must rule as king until [God] has put all enemies under his feet. 26 AS THE LAST ENEMY,DEATH IS TO BE BROUGHT TO NOTHING :) 27 For [God] "subjected all things under his feet." But when he says that ‘all things have been subjected,’ it is evident that it is with the exception of the one who subjected all things to him. 28 But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him, that God may be all things to everyone.:)

I have learnt from mee as well as the door to door knockers in the real world. I have learnt that if you make an offering to someone you should do it in a civil, friendly and polite manner, as JWs do. Furthermore, if the offering is rejected then do not endlessly persist with the offering, because this is arrogant, patronising, time-wasting and ignorant. That is not personal to any individual, just my analysis of the scenario. If mee would care to respnd with a quote or two I would appreciate that as it will clearly confirm my analysis.

Yeh, reminds me of a robot programmed with The Aldis laws of Robotics. Change is inevitable. It is the most fundamental and immutable dynamic of the universe. To resist change in such a way actually goes against nature. If you are not changing you are not learning and cannot advance.

I too have a chuckling admiration for Mee's tenacity and good nature. Though I long ago learned to read only the first and last few words of a post. But I would still find it most heartning and uplifting if Mee was to reply to this "F**k you tao you to553r, who the f**k you calling a robot"!! Because a friendly robot, no matter how pleasant, still does not feel like a real human being. And I find that someone so brainwashed into a religion that they have lost the spark of humanity very sad.

not sure what you mean :confused:are you saying mee should not talk about the kingdom on this site . :)
because many on here have no interest in the kingdom, but maybe mee is wrong about what you mean. not sure

shunning the spirit of the world and its attitudes is a way of life , but you never know because they (mee)are imperfect they(mee) might just slip up once in a while :)

and then the finger pointing would start with a vengence i am quite sure:)

but remember , the great worldwide preaching work that Jehovahs people are taking part in is for a witness, no one can say that they did not have a chance to respond to the GOODNEWS of the kingdom , because as you know they do come back often .
"This good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come."—Matt. 24:14.

The lady that visits here is a lovely person but I wish with all my heart she would or could be more herself, she is not just a tape loop but it is impossible to engage with her. If I stood and quoted sutras to her and extolled the virtues of another worldview persistently, whatever she said, she wouldn't like it would she? There should be common meeting ground when two adults communicate but with her I'm afraid it is not possible. :(

maybe they are not losing their focus , after all the reason they keep coming back to your door is because their focus is on the kingdom.:)

:D I am glad to say that we stick to what the bible REALLY teaches and dont make up manmade doctrines . like some of the churches do .
 
mee is looking foreward to the promises in the bible , and to what Jesus taught .
But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.psalm 37;11 ​


The righteous themselves will possess the earth,
And they will reside forever upon it

Happy are the mild-tempered ones, since they will inherit the earth.

yes the former things like sickness and death will be a thing of the past

And it will all come about because of GODS KINGDOM

mee is not losing sight of the great promises found in the bible . and what the bible teaches is very good :) but there are many in opposition to what the bible REALLY TRUTHFULLY teaches, especially from religious leaders who claim to represent God.

But no worries, Jesus did say that there would be opposition to his followers who make the truth known, just as there was opposition to him , especially from religious leaderswho claim to represent him :)


Privately, Jesus had also repeatedly warned his disciples, saying, "You will be objects of hatred by all people on account of my name . . . When they persecute you in one city, flee to another." "A slave is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will persecute you also." "Men will expel you from the synagogue. In fact, the hour is coming when everyone that kills you will imagine he has rendered a sacred service to God."—Mt 10:22, 23; Joh 15:20; 16:2.



make no mistake about it , many do not like the promises in the bible and they try to shut the mouths of those who make known the GOODNEWS of the kingdom. matthew 24;14


even banning them from making it known , yes it is so true, Jesus true followers will get opposition just as Jesus foretold .



but no worries ,Jesus sheep hear his voice and he is gathering them into unity on a worldwide scale. and here they are in the book of revelation , they are a GREAT CROWD

After these things I saw, and, look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands. 10 And they keep on crying with a loud voice, saying: "Salvation [we owe] to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb."REVELATION 7;9-10:)


And they will come out of the GREAT TRIBULATION


These are the ones that come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. revelation 7;14
