Jesus is a reigning king

Wow - this new king seems to be doing a pretty lousy job ruling the earth if that's the case. :)

first things first, :)the GOODNEWS about the kingdom is being made known first, MATTHEW 24;14 and the gathering of a GREAT CROWD to get through the GREAT TRIBULATION REVELATION 7; 9-10, 14.

And the start of the GREAT TRIBULATION will be when BABYLON THE GREAT is destroyed by God , and BABYLON THE GREAT is the WORLDWIDE EMPIRE OF FALSE RELIGION . things are moving along at a great pace and the time is very near when God is going to step into the affairs of man Daniel 2;44

its all happening in the time of the end , and it is just as Jesus said in matthew 24;37-39 THEY TAKE NO NOTE

For just as the days of Noah were, so the presence of the Son of man will be. 38 For as they were in those days before the flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; 39 and they took no note until the flood came and swept them all away, so the presence of the Son of man will be. MATTHEW 24;37-39

Jesus was born to us King of Kings.
No one knows the exact time when Jesus will return,
but be mindful of the times and seasons, pray, live life and love others.
When he comes again it will be in the clouds with great power and glory.
As far as date setting and false prophecies,
this is directly against christianity,
and constantly shoving this doctrine on christians is a disregard and attack on our beliefs
guised as "good news"
and then trying to make others feel they are left out for not following it.
We are not to tell God who, what, where, when, why and how to do anything.

Conflict between God’s now ruling King and Satan’s wicked system has been ongoing ever since God’s Kingdom was established in the heavens in 1914.

At that time, human rulers were put on notice to submit to God’s chosen Ruler.

But they have refused to do so, as was foretold:
"The kings of earth take their stand and high officials themselves have massed together as one against Jehovah and against his anointed one, saying: ‘Let us tear their bands apart and cast their cords away from us!’" (Psalm 2:1-3)

Resistance to Kingdom rule will clearly reach its climax during the attack by Gog of Magog.

well it is my BELIEF that Jesus is NOW a reigning king

Good for you...

You ignorance of the CoC gets old :) Specially the "innocent, passive-aggressive" manner in which you pull it off....

Call me tedious Alex (go on, you know you want to) but that's what I meant in the second post .

Indeedy doody, I didn't bother reading any of the other posts I am sorry :p I just wanted to flag this up lol... Anyways, I am off now to bring Judaism to the Paganism board... ;)

Whatever mod moved this thread, thanks. :)

During the upcoming great tribulation, culminating in Armageddon, Christ will war against all evil.

But there will be no need for his followers to fight, even as this was unnecessary for the inhabitants of the two-tribe kingdom of Judah thousands of years ago.
The battle belonged to Jehovah, and he gave the victory.

It was exactly as Jehovah had foretold: "You will not need to fight." (2 Chronicles 20:17)

This sets the pattern for Christians to follow when Jesus Christ moves in "to complete his conquest."

Meanwhile, Gods people continue to fight evil, not with carnal weapons, but with spiritual ones. They thereby "keep conquering the evil with the good."—Romans 6:13; 12:17-21; 13:12; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5.

Gog of Magog is identified as Satan the Devil in his debased position since 1914.

As a spirit creature, he cannot carry out his attack directly, but he will use human agencies to do his deeds.

Who will these human agencies be?

The Bible does not give us details, yet it does give us certain indications that can help us to identify who they will be.

As world events unfold in fulfillment of Bible prophecies, we will gradually get an ever clearer picture.

Jehovah’s people avoid speculation but remain spiritually alert, fully aware of political and religious developments that fit into the framework of the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Subjects of God’s Kingdom now have the crucial work of "bearing thorough witness concerning the kingdom of God." (Acts 28:23)

Doing so is vital because the Messianic Kingdom will vindicate Jehovah’s universal sovereignty. (1 Corinthians 15:24-28)

When we preach the good news, hearers have the opportunity to become subjects of God’s Kingdom.

Further, the way people react to that message provides a touchstone, or standard, against which Christ the King can judge mankind. (Matthew 24:14; 2 Thessalonians 1:6-10)

Hence, a prime way in which we show our loyalty to Christ is by obeying his command to tell others about the Kingdom.—Matthew 28:18-20.

The reigning kings heart must now swell with joy at having such a large "flock" near the close of this "conclusion of the system of things."

Those sheeplike ones who make up the "great crowd" now have a huge share in the joy of the Master, Jesus Christ.

This is largely due to their having an active share in bringing in the ones needed for completing the "great crowd," for which no number is given in Revelation 7:9.

The gathering work in which the "other sheep"JOHN 10;16 are sharing has zoomed to worldwide proportions, MATTHEW 24;14 far beyond the ability of the diminishing number of the anointed remnant to cope with.

The other sheep have an ever greater share in bringing in still more of the
"other sheep" with an earthly hope.
And that GREAT CROWD will be earthly eyewitnesses because of being preserved alive through the terrible end of this wicked world. (Revelation 16:14; 2 Peter 3:12) What a precious privilege! What great joy the "Prince of Peace" will then share with the surviving "great crowd" of his loyal "other sheep"!:)

ITS ALL HAPPENING IN THIS TIME OF THE END Jesus is a reigning king

Jehovah’s reaction to the opposition to his established Kingdom was foretold

"The very One sitting in the heavens will laugh; Jehovah himself will hold them in derision. At that time he will speak to them in his anger and in his hot displeasure he will disturb them, saying: ‘I, even I, have installed my king upon Zion, my holy mountain.’" (Psalm 2:4-6)

The time has now arrived for Christ, under Jehovah’s direction, "to complete his conquest." (Revelation 6:2)

How does Jehovah view opposition directed toward his people during the time of final conquest? As directed actually against him and against his reigning King.

"He that is touching you is touching my eyeball," says Jehovah. (Zechariah 2:8)

And Jesus stated emphatically that he counts what people do or fail to do to his anointed brothers as being done or not done to him.—Matthew 25:40, 45.

whenWill God’s Kingdom Come?

“LORD, are you restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time?” (Acts 1:6)

The apostles were eager to know when Jesus would establish his Kingdom.

Today, some 2,000 years later, people are still eager to know: When will God’s Kingdom come?

Since Jesus made the Kingdom the theme of his preaching, you might expect that he discussed this question. And indeed he did!

He spoke extensively about a marked period of time that he called his “presence.” (Matthew 24:37)

That presence is closely tied to the establishment of the Messianic Kingdom. What is this presence?

Let us consider four truths the Bible reveals about the presence of Christ.

The presence is invisible to human eyes.

Remember, Jesus discussed the sign of his presence. (Matthew 24:3) If his presence were visible to human eyes, would a sign be needed?

Christ’s presence would begin a long time after his death.

Some years after Jesus ascended to heaven, the apostle Paul wrote: “This man [Jesus] offered one sacrifice for sins perpetually and sat down at the right hand of God, from then on awaiting until his enemies should be placed as a stool for his feet.” (Hebrews 10:12, 13) So a lengthy period of waiting followed Jesus’ arrival in heaven. The wait finally ended when Jehovah God made his Son the King of the long-promised Messianic Kingdom.DANIEL 7;13-14 That was when Christ’s presence began.

Jesus’ presence would be marked by a time of profound troubles here on earth.
Jesus said that his presence as King in heaven would be marked on earth by wars, famines, earthquakes, pestilences, and lawlessness. (Matthew 24:7-12; Luke 21:10, 11)
What would cause all this misery? The Bible explains that Satan, “the ruler of this world,” is full of rage because he knows that his time is very short now that Christ’s presence as King has begun. (John 12:31; Revelation 12:9, 12)

Such visible evidence of Satan’s rage and of Christ’s presence has been abundant in our time. Especially since 1914, a year that historians acknowledge was a turning point,

Jesus’ presence is marked by a global preaching work.

Jesus said that his presence would be like “the days of Noah.” (Matthew 24:37-39) Noah was more than an ark builder; he was also “a preacher of righteousness.” (2 Peter 2:5)
Noah warned people that a judgment from God was on its way. Jesus said that his followers on earth would be doing something similar during his presence.
He prophesied: “This good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.”—Matthew 24:14.

Jesus is now a reigning king in heaven
