Another Media "Star" Passed

No kidding, I've let the YouTube playlist roll all day!

60s n 70s rock is my home still...my stars are passing on allowing them to live on in my heart one by one..

If there is a rock n roll heaven (or hell) they must (both) have a helluva(heavenly) band!
 
Just hits home for me a little more than it should I suppose. Bands like Creme, Blind faith, Procol Harum, Steppenwolf were the ones the band I was in back in the day most emulated.

I don't know, seems like the older I get the more I regret not perusing a musical path and as more and more of those I most admired pass, the more I lament.

Probably not so much the music , just a matter of missing one's youth I suppose. Great memories to be sure, but I do miss being an active participant.
 
Prog rock, acid rock,.blues rock... I never knew the genres that resonated with me had names till recently.

But yes the bands you named, what I deem soulful, ethereal music resonated with me and takes me back to those youthful days.

I was always audience, never a musician...but without us musicians would have a hard time making ends meet.

As a comic juggler/magician street performer however I know the feeling of feeding off audience reaction...the applause, laughter and response provide the fuel for the creativity that appears onstage. (The bucks never hurt either)
 
Choi Jin-Ri passed away after a successful suicide at the tender age of 25.

Anyone familiar with K-Pop would recognize Sulli from the girl group f(x). She suffered from severe depression compounded by cyberbullying by so-called "fans" (a common occurrence with K-Pop and other fandoms in southeast Asia/Oceana region [including death threats targeting the wife and baby of the original voice actor for Levi Ackerman in Attack on Titan because "How dare he have a life outside of his job!"].)

John Conyers passed away in his sleep at the tender age of 90.

Former Congressman John Conyers was a long-standing congressman, only resigning in disgrace for allegations of sexual harassment. He had served with distinction otherwise, first elected during the early civil rights movement. Fred Cox passed away at the tender age of 80 (just shy of 81.)

"Who?" you ask?

He played with the Minnesota Vikings during the 1960s and 1970s, but he's more known for something that he helped invent: a much softer American football that became an entire line of sports toys-Nerf. A "little-known" dj who started out in Milwaukee decades ago has passed.

"Who?" you ask?

Mark the Shark, started his career on a (defunct) station in Milwaukee (WQFM) and ended his career on WKLH in Milwaukee, with stints around the United States. Will post a link to the tribute that WKLH has put up tomorrow (if possible.)

Lil Bub succumbed to an infection in her sleep at the tender age of 8.

"Who?" you ask?

She was as famous as another cat, Tardar Sauce, aka Grumpy Cat, another :kitty: that had a form of dwarfism who passed a while ago. Lil Bub was the spokes:kitty: for adopting special needs animals with the ASPCA (set up a fund for said special needs animals, too!)

Carroll Spinney passed away at the tender age of 85.
