Another Media "Star" Passed

Kobe Bryant passed away in a helicopter crash at the tender age of 41.

"Who?" you ask?

He was one of the more famous/more "talented" basketball players in modern sports history, surpassed only recently by LeBron James. He spent his entire twenty-year career with the LA Lakers.

More importantly imho is that he's survived by his wife and three of their daughters, one less than one iirc.

Here's his obituary: https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nb...crash-in-calabasas/ar-BBZlI5N?ocid=spartanntp

eta: Gianna Bryant, the eldest daughter, passed away at the tender age of 13. More information about the crash: https://www.yahoo.com/sports/report...-helicopter-crash-in-calabasas-194537553.html

Mary Theresa Eleanor Higgins Clark passed away at the tender age of 92

"Who?" you ask?

Mary Higgins Clark was a rather prolific mystery writer, with stories ranging from Where Are the Children? through to Kiss the Girls And Make Them Cry. Several of her stories were made into movies/miniseries.

Oh. I have such great memories of reading her books growing up. Hadn’t heard she’d passed. Thanks for posting.

Voyage to the bottom of the sea...
Perchance you meant 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, which Douglas was in, rather than the other in which Douglas did knot appear - neither the movie nor the TV series.

Katherine Morel and Kerry On passed away at the tender ages of 33 and 8 respectively after a tragic accident.

"Who?" you ask?

Ms. Morel was a rising star in the Canadian equestrian community and Kerry On was her horse. Apparently, Kerry On went into a rotational fall, which tends to be fatal for both the horse and rider (for those not familiar with the term, a rotational fall is when the horse goes into a summersault, landing on its back, crushing anything/anyone on there.)

Here's the obit connected to the pair: https://www.yahoo.com/news/katherine-morel-death-canadian-equestrian-163049300.html
