Kings

My friends, now is not the time to sit in sadness. When we come face-to-face with death then and then alone do we know that the only way out is through. I do not speak pithy words to woo you away from your mourning at the loss of our beloved Kings. Mourn we shall for this tragic loss effects us all, each and every one of us, who have invested heart and head, countless hours into characters skillfully crafted to draw us near in the manner of so many gleaming diamonds in the rough. But let us not end this day down in the pit of despair. For we know all too well that with the dawn a new day begins. There is a season for all things. Now is not a time to let go. Now is the time to hold tightly. When you love something so much that it consumes you then you do not let it die. If one king must die then it stands to reason that another should take his place. I call each of you now; man, woman, child, fight for your beloved Gilboa. Join fan groups. Write to NBC. Protest against the powers that be until the iron gates of the networks fall in and we may once again share in the journeys of Silas, of David, of that kid from Home Alone.

My friends, this is Gilboaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Saw Part I of what will be the last episode. Good stuffs.

I've downloaded part I of the last episode haven't watched it yet... Cause my uber fave series is back on. (Eureka) And I have been watching the new two episodes of that, I'll be watching the kings tonight.

Inspiring speech Dauer, Sure... I've heard -something- like that said before though... *thinks*

Dream... Apologies, But I cannot be held accountable for some dickhead suits that decided 9 million viewers per week wasn't enough, and I am sure that figure is now larger, specially seeing how amazing this series has got... Dream... I however will make you a pact.... IF, if this show isn't back on by the middle of 2010... I will personally hunt down and erase the person(s) that is/are accountable for this shows demise.....

9 million viewers for a major station isn't enough. They gotta pay the light bill, but 2 or 3 million viewers to other stations is a gold mine...it'll get picked up.

Was trying to do it Silas-style.

Sure? *blinks*

Watched the first of the last episodes last night... awesome lol..... However, wtf?

(spoiler if you aint sin it.) When Saul gets whacked, and I forget his name, the gay one takes the the throne, And they are all in that room discussing what to do, and the gay one is all like "Well I think we should declare peace sailor boy, and not give them the land!" And Sauls brother in law is like... "Sit down and shut up gay one." And he does... He sits down, and he becomes silent... The brother in law then barks commands and orders and declares war... And the soliders... The King, The Queen mother, the Princess the other officials all stand there and allow it... wtf? That isn't realisitc... The king should be like... Nah, nah naaah AH -you- freaking shut up! Gaurds, whack this mofo...." *Guards shoot and kill brother in law.*(spoiler end)

Spoiler answered:

Because he signed a contract and essentially his uncle owns everything. In the case of Silas, he owned a lot. Now he owns more. Jonathan is just a puppet king, a figurehead. It relates to the special interest groups that give money to politicians. But there was also an allusion to making a deal with the devil. If you reflect back a few episodes to the scene with Jonathan and his uncle in the car, and he's talking about how he made a deal and can't back out, the lighting on his face is very red for a reason.

I think it was just a figurative allusion, not literal.
