Awe come on all. I think it is a great concept. Let's see they are trying to teach personal responsibility through a television show. Is that so bad? Now their gamble is that folks will buy more insurance as they become more responsible people...again, what is not to like.
I was hired once to perform at a political function. They were specific that I was supposed to include in my patter something about the candidate and promote them.
Instead I went into a little rant about folks not keeping up with politics and what is going on in their community, and only complaining about what happenned after it occurred rather than being proactive and involved in the process (how I tied this into juggling is beyond me at the moment) So anyway, my closing bit was that this candidate does not just want your vote, she wants an informed active constituency, and she feels that those that are informed and have done their homework would vote for her.
She was over their beaming, all smiles, absolutely satisfied. Her campaign manager though was steaming. While I was packing up he came over saying he didn't get what he paid for that I didn't push the candidate or the party etc. Meanwhile the candidate got elected, I got paid and I got a couple more gigs from her....
