Well hello everyone!

Just joined the forum. I've been on a couple of forums before but I didn't like the restrictions placed on the darker side of spirituality. I believe that life consists of both light and dark and there's no need to censor the darker side. I liked the look of this forum because of it's diversity.

I used to be Christian when I was younger. Then for the past couple of years I was Wiccan. However, the past year or so has been weird for me. I would say I branch more under the Pagan umbrella but I take a strong interest in other religions. I prefer not to be labelled simply because I dont know. I don't know which one suits me more, which one is best (if there is such a thing) etc. I generally take bits from every religion and integrate them. I think the term for that would be eclectic.

I'm a music student in the UK. I'm doing a performance degree and then after that I want to be a teacher.

I'm a very happy person really and giggle alot. I like to contribute lots on forums so you will most likely be seeing alot more of me!!

Not confused as such... I know which area I am in but I don't really think there's a religion that suits me - I'm a free spirit lol.

Lol Thankyou... maybe it will become a cereal one day. Ooh, you all sound slightly nutty which is great. Just what I'm looking for lol!!

And I think seeker is probably more applicable lol.

maybe we're all serial seekers in the perennial philosophy thats called life; some stick to the same episode, others switch to previous ones, finding plots and themes not noticed before. others produce and direct their own acts for a one off extravaganza!
 
@snoopy: Hello!!

@nativeastral: It's a good analogy. Much better than that path one... everyone uses the path analogy. I quite like it although I do feel like I'm in some kind of limbo lol. It's nice to not be stuck in the belief about one thing.... it's very free :)

I know at times we've had some darker stuff on here, not least a few Satanists pass by (LeVay and others), and there were no riots - so hopefully you can find room to explore here. :)

As for paths and names, though - badges. Sometimes it's just nice not to wear one. :)

Btw - apologies for the post being sent to moderation - automatic anti-spam script kicks in for the first 10 posts a new member makes, and the "@" sign is on the moderator list as is commonly used in Nigerian mobile phone scams (we have a collection of it archived here).

Great to hear about the performance work - I presume Stanislavski and Brecht featured a bit?

Anyway, let me know if you have any problems uploading an avatar - they are quite popular around here. :)

Thankyou for clearing that up, I wasn't sure what was going on but I did think it was the 10 post thing.

I do performance in Music not Drama, but Stanislavski and Brecht did feature in my Alevel stuff.... interesting guys... Stanislavski was my forte really lol.

Yeah, it would be nice to see some darker stuff. I looked at a few boards before settling on this one and most of them in their T's&C's said they didn't want anything to do with darker stuff. Fluffy-esque.
