Hi,

Just posting the I assume customary introduction.

I'm an old cynical sceptic about most things - well everything really.


Some may know me from the SFF site where I'm well known for my cheerful uplifting outlook on life and the world.

With that in mind and having a care for the fact we all have so little time left I shall cease my ramblings and allow you all to return to your lives.

No doubt we will get to know each other before long - well while we can.:)
 
Well, then, if it's a dead end, I recommend turning around and going the other way. But, then, wherever you are, just be there until you aren't.:) earl

Hi TEIN, and welcome. What is the idea of SFF, is it related to conservation and environmentalism ? I looked at the website and forum and it looks quite eclectic. I think I have some ideas about SFF, but first I need to figure out if I have any clue what it is about :) ??

Do you post under the same name there, they do not seem to have a search function (probably because I am not registered) there :confused: ??

By the way, I did not register there, because some forums now do not release your personal information (e-mail address and IP number) if you leave the forum :) !! You are not thinking about leaving us anytime in the near future, are you :D ?

SFF is a science fiction and fantasy writers forum where people interested in becoming an author in that genre congregate :)

It's a very friendly place and it run by Brian so the rules are pretty similar to those on this site if not identical. Though Brian refers religious debaters to this site so that the SFF spirit is maintained.

Yes I'm TheEndIsNigh (TEIN) on that site too.

As for leaving anytime soon - what would be the point in the short time we all have left

Naturally my moronic credentials are fully up to date - after all here I am what more proof is required.

Welcome to the forums, TheEndIsNigh. :)

AS you'll quickly notice, Interfaith is run a lot more loosely than sffchronicles - the completely different environment demands it.

But hopefully you'll find yourself able to fit in comfortably. :)

Ya know I'll just bet now that the fundies and orthodox of all religions know that Brian is recommending that the religilous from SFF come on over here...., they are collectively rubbing their chins and saying, "hmmmm.... that explains a lot"

I am guessing that for every one of them Brian pushes over here from SFF, he forces one of us to go there. So who will be leaving us for SFF pasteurs ?? :D

As it's hosted on one of my main business servers with some key revenue sites on it, I'm having to spend tonight and tomorrow getting everything moved to a new DDoS protected server.

So if you do join up at chronicles, do be warned that things could be somewhat tetchy over the next day or so.

I am getting some problems on one, bit baffled at the moment.

I just thought I would spread a little joy and happiness to more of his flocks.

Preferably the bits with a GUI. :)

I understand basic issues according to what I do - but it's more tweaking output. I wouldn't even begin to dare touch the Apache code itself.

That sounds like chronicles - but here things can easily get far more raucous. While the basic rules of engagement are "try to act civil", there is far too much scope for passions to rise to be too restrictive, and this needs taking account of in the moderating process here.
