How could the bible have known where civilization began?

So this is all on your own, the teachings of danb, we've got a prophet in our midst?

Around here we realize there are a lot of belief systems that folks are attached to. And amongst those belief systems there are an infinite number of ideas of how exactly it works.

We are here to discuss and grow...and learn from each other. Sounds to me like you might be ready to rent your store front, sign up for cable access....build it and they will come.

Don't kid yourself ... I'm not saying we don't learn from each other, but the following is more akin to the truth, and sums up the slim majority our intentions:

"Up in these woods we don't take kindly to prophets, or those who's views challenge our own. We skin our our food round here stranger, and we eat what we put on our own plates. Yes sir, we simple folk round here; we're accustomed to our own ways and ain't nobody gonna tell us how to think. Yup, we can learn you sumthin if you'd just stop thinkin you know it all."

Well, I guess I started this thread and so I should let you know what my actual intentions were. I was trying to see if people would agree at least on the base of Genesis so that we could explore the amazing reallity that we are living in during the present.
Hi danb,

Everybody really is just trying to be helpful.

But then do I have to define and defend every little dot and title?
Do you have to take everything as an attack? Like you, other people want to help each other.

Remember the well known prohibitions against adding to or taking away from the words of Revelation. How are you, as a revealer of an 'Amazing mystery' in Revelation having to do with dates and figures, going to avoid doing that? If you explain the numbers, then aren't you adding to the words of the book? If you distort something by mistake, then aren't you subtracting? Yes, because you might be taking a spiritual lesson and turning it into a mistaken prognostication! It seems to me the prohibitions were written at the end of the booklet to keep people from misusing the book, but you can just ignore that. Chapter 22 declares Revelation is not a sealed book, but you act like its a book of secret dates. It says "blessed is he who keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book" but you say "blessed is he who interprets the meaning". You have positive intentions of using Revelation to convince people of Bible truth; but it is not even meant to convert souls; because it says "He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still." (22:11) But whatever!

I do agree with your sentiments in this post, Dream. The Revelation [imo] was written in code and used symbolism for a reason. Probably because it speaks of current events throughout the ages, which were meant to be revealed to those who are of the "fold" and not to those who are not.

I myself rarely dive into its mysteries, as I don't want to add by wrong interpretation, or subtract by wrong interpretation, so it remains largely unread by me. :p I suppose I am content with living in the day, and less concerned about tomorrow. Today certainly has enough troubles of its own; there is no need to add to my worries the things that are not ....

You guys are just so much better with words. What I was trying to express was this is a discussion forum. One presents ideas and others ask question, look at the minutia, explore the avenues. If Danb thinks he has all the avenues explored and doesn't want folks inquiry on his thoughts...a pulpit is more appropriate, a place to pontificate for 20-40 minutes and then go shake hands at the door.

I was jus pokin fun, bro ... Even so, often times it feels as if many have closed themselves from gaining further insight from others (Myself included). I think that perhaps everyone has something of value to offer. No matter how simple minded, or scholarly they may be. I myself seem to live in a bubble of sorts, and I rarely allow others to penetrate that bubble. I am set in many of my views, but there are times that I open up, and allow myself to take in the views of others.

Perhaps we would all be better served if we allowed ourselves to simply open up more to what others can offer. I do think I know what I feel I understand. Is this a flaw? No, it is simply a conviction. Sometimes my convictions are deeply challenged, and in that challenge I find that I grow more than when a challenge hasn't been presented at all.

I like a bit of well placed resistance sometimes. What I dislike is outright arrogance, and condescension, of which I too am guilty of dishing out from time to time. I guess it comes with pride and ego (Two things that we all seem to possess).

Hi guys,

It looks like I'm a sort of bad boy of the group. But it's not fair. I barly ever get to a computer and you talk all about me while I'm gone! No, really guys. its O.K. Were all in this together, theres no problem.

I guess I may talk like I know it all. Well I'm actually not here to just talk for compaionship or add little snips. Its O. K if people do though, whatever each one needs.

I agree with you all. We are progressing in our understanding so long as we yearn for righteousness. Apparently there will be no miracle for the unbeilevers.

I have studied hard with the intention of fining the purpose of life. I've found many miracles. I am just a normal person. I'm having trouble explaining these miraculous things to people. But thst to isn't a bother for me either it's not my mission. My purpose was just to find the meaning and purpose of life but not to be an evengelist.

Anyway, if anyone is interested in amazing ideas about the Bible and Christianity, I would like to discuss them. the ideas that I discuss are not the one that are already written somewhere. I'm only here because I have found new information that shows the Bibles amazing magic!

By all means then, proceed....enlighten us.....really.
I am always open to hear others experiences.

I am not going to knock you for it, but you also....to be fair...must accept that there will be critical questions as you are not the only one to have mystical and miraculous experiences.

But I would give you an open-mind with critiques and questions...it is the just thing to do.

3. The six millenniums of human history until today.

......4000BC - 2000AD

4. The six decades of a persons life. Ps.90;10

5. The six stages of a plants growth.

.....1.germination 2. stalk and leaf growth 3. buds and flowers grow 4.flowering, 5. fruit forms 6. fruit rippens

6. The six dimensions of material substance.

1. a point 2. a line 3. a shape 4. width 5. depth 6. hight

7. The six directions of the world God created in Genesis 1.

.....East, West, North, South, Up, Down

8. The first six Bible sections.

This is an outline of that which I am studying. I feel that I am making progress! dan b
