Who is God?

Anselm of Canterbury said in about 1050 AD: "that which nothing greater can be conceived." Simple and to the point.

In the second chapter of the once secret Brahman Vishnu Purana it says: "God is without form, epithet, definition, or description; free from defect, incapable of annihilation, change, grief, or pain. We can only say that He, that is, the Eternal Being, is God."

Sorry. Too late to edit I suppose. Anyway I decided I had copped out on the question. I understand that it is impossible to have an opinion if you actually have no the knowledge. Here is an opinion.

I am surprise by the frequent question, "Do you believe in a personal God?" Of course God is personal. God is a personal experience of the heart and not an intellectual experience of the mind! I reduce the supernatural explanation of God to fundamentals easily comprehended by humankind: Choosing good over evil and right over wrong and having an unselfish ability to choose forgiveness, compassion, humanity, integrity, virtue, charity, humility, respect and conscience. That is God and He resides within me! It is no stretch to imagine who His neighbor is. I decide which neighbor to associate with. As I have previously said, that decision is the only character struggle of free will I've ever had and the only God I can relate to.

You don't like Dr Who? Get thee behind me ... :D
Lol, my atheist science fiction fans like to say that regarding my lack of Who interest (I've seen one complete episode...Blink..twice, once before I was told it was the best, once after, not impressed) my classmates used to race home to catch it on the telly after school... I never understood the draw.

The last half, oh...as you can imagine...I've heard that often.

that, blasphemer, heretic... have become a badge of honor...

It is not my intent to throw stones...but it is to turn them over.

Well if we are going to delve into the stuff in life that is really important, like Dr. Who, I have but one question. Peter Capaldi? What were they thinking?????
I have no idea ... I keep trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it's not easy, and I'm not there yet.
