inter faith forums really working out well

I've posted on four interfaith forums over the past years and usually find them interesting and educational... We can learn a lot from each other.:)

Which cows? Guernsey or Holstein? Brahma bulls are best!

Funny, I have a diffent conception than FBJ, I find all of this really really good. The more I learn of others' beliefs (for the most part) the more I have faith in human nature. And those that do not I at least have a chance to talk to and try to understand them.

I also don't think there is anything wrong with talking to people and finding out about their beliefs,, if thats all this web site is about Then i would have to say there is nothing wrong with that,,

BUT IF IT IS IN ANY WAY TRYING TO GET CHRISTIANS TO THINK ..

other gods or religions have equal standing with christianity ..

that any god or religion will do ya ,,

than we must reject any and all thinking such as that .. And let any one who thinks that know with out any doubts .. That the christian rejects such anti Christ thinking ..

Yes, we know the christian rejects anti-Christ thinking. Just as the muslim rejects anti-Islam thinking; the Jew rejects Christian thinking; the Hindu rejects anti-Hindu thinking, the Protestant rejects Catholic thinking, etc.

Reminds me of a quote I like:

“I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.”
– Stephen Roberts

Personally, I, along with many others on this forum, don't believe there is one true religion, or a one-size-fits-all belief system for everyone on the planet. I believe there is something to be learned from all world religions and belief systems, even if I don't agree with them. And I don't see myself as superior to another human being because of my beliefs, or that my beliefs are "right" and his are "wrong."

Hopefully you'll be able to learn some interfaith tolerance from these forum discussions...

Well, that is a matter of opinion within the family of Christ. There are many faithful and believeing Christians (as the term is usually used) who believe that inner character matter more than professed belief.

I understand that you do not agree with that. But please do not tar and feather those of us who are Christians with your or your sect's beliefs.

No one is holding a gun to your head or telling you what to believe here. But I for one am rather dreary of someone telling me what I am aupposed to believe as a Christian.

Gotta get thicker skin my brother....I don't think it ever ends!

Heck I get told I'm not only not a Christian, but that I should join this group or that....

Reminds me of folks telling Vietnam protestors, America, Love it or Leave it.

Boy that shoe has moved from one foot to the other....time has shown what a fiasco the Vietnam war was, how it was started on a lie, simply continued as a cover up, and how wrong we were to send all those boys to their deaths.

Wil, we are of same generation, but I was over there. I remember being in the Purple Porpose in Vientaine (capital of Laos) watching OLE TRICKY DICK make his "we do not now nor have we ever had troops in Cambodia or Laos". Ditto while "R&Ring" along Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok, just back from doing BDA ("bomb damage assessment") at the Parrot's Beak (area on Cambodian/SVN border) and hearing Dr. Kissinger saying "we have not used B-52s in Cambodia".

That having been said, did the Air Force get mad when I questioned the presence of WMDs in brifings in 2002.

Odd the government lie in both conflicts but the people (and the services) reacted so very differently.

I have no idea how it's like being an American, but fear comes to mind. Vietnam didn't bomb the US. If you (appear to) work for the security of the people, you usually get a lot more leeway.

See the answers to David Janssen's Journalistic questions (at the 3 min mark) to the Green Beret Sargent (Aldo Ray) in the 1968 Movie "The Green Berets":

Easy, it was a lie and never happened, sorry.

No it wasn't. FAUXnews has studied the tabloids and had their writers from the Star and Enquirer well trained.

may have found...

an unnamed source says....

Not a lie, simply a fabrication to titilate... and sell advert space and flags...completely appropriate.

One man's fabricate is another man's lie. Try looking up any gov't or USMC announcement of same... you will not find it.

Let the journey begin, now after 10 years and counting.

"We're not in Kansas anymore"

BTW, Why do I need to know? Do I need a picture of Osama?
Let our West Pointers keep the data near and dear ---good enough for me.

I just worry about the taxi driver running onto the sidewalks!

Wishfull thinking among those that think

"It's getting better all the time".

Iconoclasts denouncing the act of denouncing in a anti-demonstation march for free speech rights while counter-demonstating the right to declare to delare any thing not aggreed by concensus by the mob that had the day off.

I do not consider unverified blogs as sources. These two references as well as the previous one you posted are just words. I can also find web references that the earth is flat, does that make it so?

Look up yellowcake on wiki. It amounts to tailings, an intermediate step in ore extraction. Even if SH had yellowcake (and again, there is not one government announcement of such) it is not a WMD. It is a pretty standard source of purple ceramic coatings.

I did not state that anyone falsified anything. Mistakes happen. I just said "no WMDs". Now, until you can find a real gov't reference announcing WMDs were found please hold your peace. Good luck, because I followed this really closely for my client 2002-2009.
