Happiness

This Picture is for La Donna Donnann
And one more the road
Why are you making every person passing by, read it? Where is it coming from? It is the words of the snake in the proverbial garden: you will NOT surely die, and eating from this tree you will be like God.

Does misery come from an ocean? If not, then per that reasoning it is not a knowledge that permits navigating past it. If it does, then happiness and life also come from that ocean... you wish to avoid it?

I learnt that Marie Antionette had never seen the ocean in her life time.

I learnt from Caroline Myss to pay attention to our Gut-reaction(s) and rather than call such impressions 'Intuition' it should thought of as preceptions that affect us on a subtile level ---energy impulses that need to be recognised. Can you recognise your own reaction to the pictures? ---of two verses from the Bhagavad-gita 2.20 & 4.36 respectively.

The pictures would look much better with the absence of those words.

Then it seems I have rocked the boat and shaken a bee hive. Do you believe I will find honey in it? :D

Happiness to me is being able to forgive people and being able to add to their lives. Unfortunately, not everyone is very receptive to this notion of forgiveness and they don't want to be. I like it when I forgive those people who threaten me, hurt me, or lie to me; because what happens at the end of the day is complete bliss. Bliss of knowing that I don't want to hurt them in any way or make them feel uncomfortable, but to help them, and shed some light into their lives as well. Not everyone has that kind of mindset, but just imagine if everyone could. How many lives would be saved, how much richer lives will seem which create endless of possibilities for the best of life for everyone.

But ultimately, happiness begins from within...it begins with greatness of knowing how awesome and perfect we are just as is. It begins knowing that we are getting up each day and adding that special element to someone or even ourselves for that matter, and the drive to keep pushing further.

Many people like to preach happiness or bliss...don't follow it, and make the mistake of saying, "hey, but I'm human...". So how long are we going to take the scape goat of being human to stop us in making an enlightened gesture by just simply being happy, content, and accepting of yourself and others as is. If only...I can dream. But I know it should always start with myself, and be set as an example for others to follow. Life is beautiful...but when are we going to set down our pitchforks to see it for all its beauty??

I love life, I love to be happy, and am most times...I have to accept happiness even through the bad times, because how else can I lift my senses?
Be happy people, life is great, it's waiting to be experienced, and loved and nurtured. Just be!!:)

Awesome post, Leela, thank you for your contribution and welcome to the forums :)

Speak up a little more though, I think you could assist many on here just by reading through this post!

The the first picture indeed ended on a very dour note and seemed incongregous with the illustration. But, a picture always tells a thousand stories.

Btw, the solace meant to be conveyed came with heavy terms ---they're actually precient amongst the patriot set.

I failed to credit the source:

A 1998 Book called "Illuminations from the Bhagavad-gita" published by Mandala Books. Artwork by Kim and Chris Murray.

I scanned the two above for that purpose. I wonder if the rest of the book is floating around on the www.
