That's a true position Will. There is only one race, the human race. The white, black and yellow are only different groups of people within the human race. Keep the good work.
 
Yes there is only the human race....what we refer to racism however is in regards to the hatred, prejudice, bigotry between our imagined 'races' based on color of skin...hispanics, asians, blacks, caucasions etc. Judaism can't claim racism, Jews are not of any particular race...they can claim, if they so perceive, discrimination based on religion (not race or nationality)...but in the US that claim is specious...as they have done very well and are in positions of power in the gov't, industry, movers and shakers in a much larger proportion then their percentage of society....it is like the 1% whining.

Some say that Hitler proved the Jews belong in a different race. But then again, that was an excuse to promote Anti-Semitism.

so if being a jew isnt an ethnic background but a religion , what ethnic background are they? everyone has an ethnic background

They are Semitic like Arabs (J haplogroup) ~ identical infact, but not Caucasian (R1).
Hispanics are anywhere up to 80% Q haplogroup Amerind Indian (Mexico).
Which is more mongoloid Eskimo than anything else.
Such are the biological differences.

I am speaking primarily of the boxes we check when we fill out forms....

white (caucasion, hispanic)
asian
pacific Island
black

all those choices don't exist.... and under white is a variety...our gov't at work.

Originally, the OP is about the establishment of the Minyan which is composed of a group of ten adult Jews. It was the theme of the dialogue in a prophetic dream between HaShem and Abraham to define how many righteous were needed to spare Sodom and Gomorrah from being destroyed. (Gen. 18:32) Abraham started his bargain with 50 and all the way down to ten as enough to keep salvation running as Jesus declared in John 4:22 that salvation comes from the Jews. It means that as long as there is on earth at least a Minyan of ten Jews, a catastrophic end for the world would never happen again as God promised to Noah soon after the Flood. (Gen. 8:21,22)
