As I poke around here, it feels like an abandoned library or university. I envision pillars, marble, and cathedral or Greek architecture. I see books and statues were past conversations stand frozen in time. I can, in the slightest whisper, hear the ecos of a thousand souls in search of some truth. Then, as the rooms seem to come to life and breath in, the breeze changes the scene, bringing back a thick layer of dust and cobwebs. I do see life though. A few travelers have found their way here and have called these halls home. A small band of individuals keeping the silence at bay.

So, besides the dust-bunnies and spider, who else graces these sunbathed chambers? How many do we have. I think only about 10. Am I wrong?

Lol, head county? My spell check needs to lay off the drugs

Well yup over the years we've had many move on....some to greener pastures others to the great unknown...

Today? hmmmm There are about half a dozen I continue to discuss the mundane with offsite...here....I'll bet there are a couple dozen active... the thread title Roll Call, are you here might work if this one doesn't.

There are a good mix of theologies, and traditionaries here. if you go looking through the various topics, The Alternatives have a few, Eastern traditions have a few, and of course Abrahamics are probably the most common talking points, however I think there are more Eastern Philosophy followers than actual Abrahamics here.

Well, Aziz, your poetic description is actually darn good. What you have missed is that this great building is also haunted. If you pay attention, you will see shades of spirit's lurking in the shadows. Some times they come out to play with us, but mostly they keep to lurking, and contemplating whatever spirits contemplate.

So yeah, this is a quiet forum. There are a few of us who participate regularly, some who jump in from time to time, and as mentioned, a host of others who listen but rarely speak.

If your needs require a more vibrant place, this one is probably not the right fit. I like it because the pace is slow. As it is I spend too much time responding to posts on here. I would be lost if I tried to keep up with a more active site. Seriously, there is a life to live out there beyond iLand!

So it was 30 in less than 10 days
a different 30 in the last month of the year
a different 30 checked in the two months prior
and a different 30 the 3 months prior to that...

So in the last 6 months... over a hundred posters... some don't last, some are old folks checking back in to see what is up...

When it comes to post vomit I am the guilty party.... We have folks who are more verbose, more knowledgeable, more friendly, more concise.... I run around and comment where I don't belong and get my hand slapped.

Have learned a lot and enjoyed this place a lot in the past decade. Have a deep place in my heart for our posters who have passed on.
