LOL... When the technician was installing my cable modem and router, he didn't recognize my OS as Windows and ask me what version of Mac I was using! I don't think he believed me when I told him it was XP. He was impressed though when it configured itself without him having to do a thing.
 
So we take a day trip to a distant cousin's farm in Fiji. He mentions having half a field to plow under in the morning. Next thing you know, my son hops on the tractor and tills 3 rows! Damn boy. We're on vacation. Lighten up. A farmer through and through that one.
 
If you're going to use the drop-down changing table in the airplane loo, make sure you secure the bloody thing when you're finished. So the next bloke won't get bopped in the head when he sits down!:mad:

To Whom It May Concern,

Please refrain from using the halls as your loo, especially if the halls are fully carpeted. I know it wasn't one of the cats or dogs because it (the urine pattern) starts too high for anything smaller than a human. I won't go into the other stuff in the general vicinity.

There is a public loo not that far away from the offended area, and one doesn't need a key to get in.

Over the weekend, a guy sitting across the aisle from me on the L pooped on the seat.
 
This just in: the local Jewish Community Center and Day Care had to be evacuated because they received a bomb threat. Will update as soon as more is known.

And the PtBs claim that we have to worry about Muslim "terrorists"...

ETA: small bomb planted by white supremacist/s. Noone seriously hurt (luckily) but not for lack of trying (found nearby a gas line.)

Ah, teal deer! One that I'm familiar with through the BRPS rant community that I belong to as well as the kids on campus (they're kids when you're old enough to be their parent, if not their grandparent!)

Just read an article about a six-year-old :kitty: in Utah (I believe) that just crossed the Rainbow Bridge, succumbing to complications of torture. Sage the :kitty: was hurt so badly that I'm not linking the article (it will make you physically ill if not :mad:.)

Apparently my credit card was skimmed at the gas pump month before last. That's the only place I use that card. Their were 2 charges on my bill from a travel agent in Hanoi of all places. The charge card company cleared everything up, canceled my account and sent me new cards. Even so, just to be on the safe side I paid with cash on my last visit to that station. I mentioned to the manager that I was likely skimmed at the pump there and advised him to be on the look out. He became very indignant and said that it was impossible for me to have been skimmed at his establishment do to their superior security. Maybe so, but I couldn't help notice the surname on his name tag, "Nguyen" !!!
 
NJ - Sorry you got hit. I've had that problem a couple of times. Hard to tell who, where or how the crooks are obtaining the info but on one occasion (while shopping in a big box store) I witnessed a man placing his smartphone close to other folks wallet pockets and I suspected what he was doing. I found the manager and reported my suspicion. I decided right then that I may get scammed again but not by a RFID reader. I bought me a RFID blocking wallet. May be worth consideration...
 
RFID wallets are necessary today. Back when the only people using this tech was Mobil oil waving their fob at the pump...a cyber security prof had his class hook up a RFID reader to their laptops and went around stealing the info, recording where and when, (on subways, park benches, buses, lines to the post office, Starbucks etc.) And who they got them from (tall man, stiped blue suit glasses, etc), then they charged one dollar of.fuel, sent the person a dollar and told them all they did. They sent this info to visa, discover, amex, warning them his loose it was....and when they came out with chips anyway....they did it.again...

The banks could care less about security.
