Your Daily Rant

Ya only need to get this years in this year...the rest are already a tad late...
Can't file this years until prior years are brought up to date. I'm just hoping they didn't owe anything along the line. As long as they were due a refund, we're good. Even so, it's gonna take some fancy accounting work to get around the 3 year deadline to claim that refund.

Any docs in the room? Well just in case, here's some friendly advice. When a patient comes to you with some rather worrisome symptoms; "Gee, wonder what's causing that..." is probably not the best response.o_O

I recall my wife splayed on the table for a sonogram during pregnancy.... the aid going hmmm....errr....hmmmm as she moved the camera thingy around her belly and then stopping....looking at me and saying "i need to go talk to the Dr." was almost as disconcerting as my friend in the ER saying to me "you'll be fine" and then hearing him around the corner asking the Doc, "Is he gonna live?"

I shouted "I can hear you!!" (and then the first was twins)... Hope all turned out well!

Yup...I am going to get a few tomatoe plants in today....the rest wait till Mothers Day...as if you plant them before we are known to get our last hard frost late april early may...and I could lose everything I put in.

Milwaukee has measurable snow right now. You read this right : the four-letter word that causes more four-letter words. *headdesk*

And the :kitty: delegation started shedding their winter coats before Good Friday!

We're getting up to only 37°F today. There's been one death so far (57 years old, heart attack shoveling snow.)

Song of the day today here:

I had occasion to drive my wife's car one rainy evening just before the onset of winter. I couldn't believe the deplorable state of the wiper blades. I asked her why she hadn't said anything and she told me she hadn't noticed. Turns out, at a mere 5ft tall, the only part of the windshield the wipers were still clearing was directly in line with her field of vision.

I did replace the factory crap with a nice pair of Anco's btw. Now we can both see the road...;)

My mothers wiper blades were awful..turned them on in a mix of rain and snow and was fighting to see... GPSd the first auto store and pulled off the highway to get blades...

Replaced them..put them on...got back on the highway and in minutes in the snow storm still could not see...turned out it wasnt the blades....it was a blop of sap in the upper right hand corner of the window that the blades were evenly distributing throughout....

I couldn't believe the deplorable state of the wiper blades.
No worries....

Rain and snow in Chicago, too. But, thankful that I don't live in Green Bay, Wisconsin (29 inches of snow in 24 hours!).

So my niece asks if I can help her and her husband file their tax return. A bit short notice, but sure I say, just bring me your W-2's. So they do. All the way back to the last time they filed, 2013!!! Dear-heart, do you think maybe it would have been a good idea to let me know a little sooner you needed help filing?o_O
Rant part 2:
Ok, so I finally finish filing my niece and her husband's back tax returns. Thankfully nothing too screwy and no back taxes owed. In fact, they're due some fairly substantial refunds. Which brings me to Rant #2. Hardly a day goes by my niece's moron hubby doesn't bitch about not having any money. Genius.... you're sitting on over $6,000! Why the hell wouldn't you claim it?

Rant Part 2a:
They are now one day behind filing their 2017 return. Guess I'll get those W-2's somewhere around 2021!o_O

Hey, just got the bill for the good doc's sage advice. After insurance my co-pay is $68!

"Gee, wonder when I'm gonna get around to paying it...?":D

Medicine isn't a complete science....it doesn't have all the answers...it is still an art form. And yup, we will try this medication, if it doesn't work...I'll charge you again to write another prescription for you to pay for, and if that doesn't work...we will continue down this path. We are all guinea pigs...the only folks that benefit are the insurance companies, big pharma and the docs.... Wotta system... only the weathermen have it better.
