Your Daily Rant

To Whom it May Concern,

The couple that I was with were "on the clock" for my flat. They are the competent help (unlike the other "help".) Just take the business card and contact them later, especially when they're running behind schedule (the female member of the couple had to reschedule my "appointment" from yesterday to today because she was at an urgent care clinic yesterday) The couple is practically booked, and they had to go to another client right after me, as in "I don't even have time to get a convenience store sandwich" booked!

To Whom it May Concern #2,

I'm deathly allergic to dogs! The only dogs that I can be around without having physical repercussions are fictional ones, like Snoopy, Scooby Doo, Marmaduke, Clifford, etc. Hell, I can wear a t-shirt/sweatshirt with dogs on them, like people who are allergic to :kitty:s can be around my t-shirts/sweatshirts/nightshirts/etc. without physical repercussions (as long as the clothing is dander-free.) Please restrain your dog! Thank you!

To Whom it May Concern #3,

The reason that I had adhesive bandages on the back of my right hand is because I had a blood draw yesterday. That is why I'm protecting it as much as I am! Next time you rough house with that hand, I'm going to shove you into an oven, turning it up to "broil"! Oh, and block your escape!

To Whom it May Concern #4

I never open my door after 1 am, even if there's emergency personnel (they have special keys to enter the building without a neighbour, plus they have the actual address that emergency services gets when it's "called in"...)

To Whom it May Concern,

I understand that you want to get home "immediately". Unfortunately, you took more than five minutes to get on the bus, pay your fare, and sit down. Ditto getting up and exiting the bus. I ended up completely missing my doctor appointment, having to reapply for this physician.

To Whom it May concern #2,

I was on the bus stop, yet you completely bypassed me. Were you running late?

To Whom it May Concern #3,

Make sure that you have the funds to purchase what you want/need, especially transportation funds, phone or no phone!

To whom it May Concern #4,

I've told you once, I've told you 1,000 times, I'm too young to qualify for your program! I'm on the wrong side of 62! (I only reached 60 this past July!)

To Whom it May Concern #5,

:kitty:s are obligate carnivores! They'll die rather painful ways if you force them to follow a vegan diet! I've said it so many times that I'm getting bloody hoarse!

That is not the only way to make coffee. I make it with coffee powder.
The only coffee powder I have is espresso that I use for chocolate desserts as well as honey cakes and spice cakes.

I don't bake at 6:15 AM (in case I fall asleep.) I don't want to set off my smoke detector/start a fire and/or ruin a legitimate recipe...

Dang they must have taken more than 5 minutes to make you miss your appointment!

Take a coffee filter, fill it with some coffee grounds, tie it off with a string, and then steep it in hot water like tea. That's one of the things I have had to do when my coffee maker has died. I have even resorted to making coffee like my grandma used to, by making it in a kettle on the stove. Sure takes awhile.

Even more happily, when I do drink coffee, I buy those Folgers' singles coffee bags. ☕🫖

To Whom It May Concern:

Why why why WHYYYYY is mayonnaise of all things considered a default condiment on a BURGER?
No ketchup or mustard, you have to ask for that to put it on yourself, but it's all gobbed up with MAYO by DEFAULT?
FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS FOOD WHHHYYYYY???

Flat bread (Indian Roti) goes nicely with salted yoghurt or salted/green chili yoghurt. Iranians/Afghans/Pakistanis/Bangladeshis too will be comfortable with that.

To Whom it May Concern,

Some people have medical conditions that prohibit mayonnaise except as a topical treatment (like for lice...) Some have allergies, others have a cardiac condition...

Mmm .. I've always thought it was for salad..
..but it seems fashionable with chips/fries these days.
How decadent! 😑

Green chili yoghurt? I will have to try that. It sounds so good. I recently started making my own naan and have been experimenting with sauces.

Good. I think you would like it. What we do is to add 'Bundi' (Gram granules, the same with which we make laddus) into it. I do not know if you can get them at your place. Alternatively, you can put pieces of boiled potato in it.
It can be made salty or sweet. It results into something like this. Very light and refreshing.
