This derailment has been in the news since it occurred. From what I understand, the train was going 80 (or was it 85?) in a 30 mph zone, but I could be thinking of another derailing elsewhere.

I'm following the weather (as several others here are.) Last I heard, several events in Canada are canceled due to dangerous temperatures, including all events involving their sesquicentennial. An aside to our beloved administrator: may I open a separate thread for checking in for those of us who live in the affected area?

I'm also following what's going on with the emergency energy program since the weather effects the program as well as the funding.
