How Can We Attract New Members...?

How about you get to cleaning out litter boxes, and I'll sit back with a nice cup of tea?
I think you must be confusing me with someone else.

I do check in almost every day to read new postings. Have been doing a lot of Essene/Qumran, Dead Sea Scroll related reading. Guess I should do my part and post a bit.

I have two online forums. One is doing well, the other is not. People just seem to not really be interested in doing real research. Seems folks have become content with quick postings on Facebook.

Just my two cents, but I think it is important to remember that what makes a good forum is quality of members over quantity. I enjoy this forum very much. Sorry I am not actively posting.

Thank you for keeping the forum up and running !

I actually don't mind how few people we get here at a time. If we get too many people here, it will be difficult for our moderators to keep up. If things get out of hand, our users who are mature, patient, and knowledgeable will probably leave.

This also suits the format here. Many forums close threads after a few days. Most of the threads here stay open for years. So when a new user comes along and comments on an old thread, the subject can be re-activated. New perspectives or new evidence can be added years later. And if any "messiahs" predicted the end of the world 10 years ago, the thread can still be open for the individual to make excuses.

Me too. The old one was a great big ramshackle place of a forum and was fun to explor
Darn! That sounds fun. Too bad I missed it.
As much as I've read about religion I realize how many nooks and crannies I have missed, by not looking as deeply into alternative religious movements and going down those rabbit holes.
